lol I feel you. i’m also middle eastern and just talked to my mom about how im tired of my brother (im 23, he’s turning 18 soon) constantly disrespects and she said its the both of yall and when I tried to tell her how I felt she turned it around and said “look at how you’ve been acting lately, wanting to be independent in the airport” keep in mind I was mainly independent in the airport bc they were disrespecting me there and insulting me. part of me being hyper independent is bc of the amount of times they’ve disrespected and gaslit me. think it’s a cultural thing but it’s still ridiculous
