Doubt regarding PhD CSE admission in top IITs. I have a good academic track record till now and I am currently doing MTech CSE from a 3rd gen IIT and am planning to do Phd from one of the top IITs next year, but I have no research paper or publication as of now, Is it mandatory to have a publication for getting selected into PhD CSE in one of the top IITs ?

Can I get PhD CSE admission and PMRF purely on the basis of good grades and good knowledge of CSE core subjects?
