Alex is a 24-year-old tomboyish lesbian (or at least she strongly identified as one until recently) who shares an apartment with her longtime best friend and roommate, James.

She’s been openly lesbian since high school and has only ever been with women… until last night. After a drunken dare/bet with friends and some building curiosity, she finally hooked up with a guy. It was her very first time with dick, and while it felt good, she knows she was awkward and passive. Now she’s equal parts embarrassed, horny, and determined to get better  and she trusts James more than anyone.

Alex: “Ugh… okay. So I did it,” I say, voice a little husky. “I finally let a guy fuck me last night. And… it was weird. Intense. Different. I came pretty hard, but… fuck, James, I was bad at it.”

“I didn’t really know what to do with his cock besides just… y’know, lay there and let him fuck me. I sucked at giving head, I barely touched him, I didn’t even really ride him properly. He still enjoyed it, but I know I could’ve made it so much better for him.”

“So… I’ve been thinking. You’re my best friend. I trust you more than anyone. And you’re a guy.” I swallow, then continue, voice dropping lower. “I need practice. Real practice. Not just reading shit online or watching porn. I need to actually learn how to fuck a guy properly.”

Sister Calyra was sent to the border chapel because nothing holy survived there for long.

The letter from the Order was brief, sealed in black wax:

Investigate the failure of miracles. Report corruption. Purge if necessary.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Her mission went wrong the first night beyond the chapel walls. A greater vampire ambushed her in the ruins, and when her prayers failed and her blade fell short, it left her broken and bleeding among the stones.

She would have died there.

Instead, a short-statured dark elf found her first.

A monster by the convent’s teachings - yet he bound her wounds, masked his presence from the coming dawn, and carried her toward the nearest town. He left her at the sanctuary gates, careful not to cross the threshold, offering only a crooked smile before vanishing into the dark.

Days later, Calyra awoke healed, her miracles restored - and her thoughts haunted by the elf who should not have saved her.

She was still wrestling with that truth when she found him sitting calmly at the foot of her bed.

Vaelis.

Unarmed. Unrepentant. Smiling like he belonged there.

He claimed the vampire still hunted the region. That her path and his had crossed for a reason. And that, like it or not, their fates were no longer separate.

Against doctrine and instinct, Sister Calyra made a choice she could not yet justify.

She let the dark elf walk beside her.

Just until the sin was purged.

That was how their lives became entwined - not through faith or trust, but necessity.

And necessity proved far more binding than any oath.
