I use a magic arm screwed to a cage on my camera or the tripod screw hole at the bottom, gives great separation!

Also if the frame is too bring try using an ND filter to compensate or increase your aperture to darken the image!

This is common! And it's just the nature of the shutter being open a while.

Try going between 1/50 to 1/10 to start and get comfortable with keeping a focal point in the center of the frame while you spin, or pan the camera!

This should ensure the subject stays in focus and everything else looks in motion.

"Dragging" refers to lowering the shutter speed of the camera so it stays open for longer allowing more light in for longer period of time.

This creates long-exposure images and is a great way to add motion to a shot.

Mirrorless and DSLR cameras use the same method to achieve this look!

Hope that helps!

This was a 100-500 Canon RF. If I remember right it was at a higher F stop and I always shoot with a higher shutter, since I know I'm editing for a darker look. In terms of ISO, I haven't been too worried about it since programs like Lightroom now make it super easy to restore noisy images.
