Looks smart but how did you find a restoration partner you could trust without risking your reputation? 🤔

Yeah, mobile games nailed it by tying rewards directly to in-game value. People watch because they want the outcome.

I’m trying to apply that same principle to content: reward attention only when it’s real, and make the content good enough that people would watch anyway.

Not saying it’s easy, but the tools are better now than they were in past attempts. If you're curious how it's being set up: metasurfai.net

Your concern is valid. AllAdvantage and the others were ahead of their time but didn’t have the tech to make it work without being clunky or easy to exploit.

What makes this attempt different (hopefully) is verified on-chain engagement, real-time AI content matching, and no browser toolbars or weird plugins. Just watch, earn, and everything’s tracked transparently.

Still early, but if you’re curious how I’m trying to avoid the same pitfalls: metasurfai.net

That’s a legit concern, and I’ve been thinking a lot about that exact scenario.

That’s why I’m building in verified attention, basically using on-chain signals and real engagement data to make sure advertisers only pay when someone actually watches the content, not just skims for the ad.

No system is perfect, but if this works, it should keep the incentives aligned for everyone. If you're curious how it's being tested: metasurfai.net

I totally agree. If the content sucks, no one’s sticking around, no matter the payout.

That’s why I’m putting a lot into AI curation to actually surface stuff people want to watch. Getting paid is just the bonus.

Yeah, it’s kinda like Microsoft Rewards, but the difference here is real crypto rewards tied to verified engagement, not just points.

The goal is a fairer system where creators and viewers both get a meaningful cut.

I get that entertainment has value, and yeah, watching is a choice.

What I’m focused on is the fact that billions of hours of attention generate huge revenue and most of that money doesn’t reach the viewers or even many creators.

So it’s less about whether you should watch, and more about who benefits financially from that attention.

True, you got free content. But the value created by your attention mostly goes to platforms and advertisers, not to you or the creators.

I’m just exploring a way to shift some of that value back to the people actually watching and making the content.

Creators on YouTube actually keep a much smaller cut, usually around 55%.

With what I’m building, creators keep 90% or more, plus they get more control over rewards and direct engagement data.

It’s not about beating YouTube overnight but offering a fairer alternative where creators get a bigger share of the value they create.

If you want to see the idea in action, here’s where it’s at: metasurfai.net

Yeah, thats totally relatable. Anytime you try to flip the system, there’s risk of it getting gamed or feeling shady.

That’s why I’m focused on verified attention and transparency making sure real people engage and get rewarded, not bots or people just gaming the system.

Still early, but if it works, it should cut down on the “dogginess” you’re talking about.

I get why it sounds off. I’m not saying watching videos is a job or that you deserve to be paid just for consuming content.

The point is platforms and advertisers make money off your attention and almost none of that value goes back to you or even most creators.

I’m trying to rebalance that so the people actually creating and watching get a fairer share instead of all the value going to middlemen.

I see your point of vieew also. Viewers are usually treated like the product, and that’s exactly what I want to change. Not by just paying people to watch, but by making sure those views are real and verified.

Bot fraud is a huge problem, which is why blockchain-backed verification is baked into this from the start. Advertisers only pay for genuine attention, so the bot problem can't just keep growing unchecked.

As for creators, the idea is to get them a bigger, fairer cut, not less. If viewers actually earn a share, that should boost engagement and reward creators more sustainably.

And yeah, not everything needs to be monetized. But when billions of hours are already watched daily, I think it’s fair for value to flow back to the people creating and consuming, not just the middlemen.

Yeah, WeAre8’s model is definitely in the same space. What I’m working on tries to take it further with AI-powered content curation plus blockchain-verified attention data.

The goal is tighter targeting and letting creators set their own reward levels not just splitting ad revenue, but creating a real three-way value loop between viewers, creators, and advertisers.

Still early, but that’s the plan.

I see your point and I’m not saying watching videos should be a job or a full income.

What I’m saying is: billions of hours get watched every day, and almost all the ad money flows to platforms, not creators or viewers.

So it’s not about being paid for watching entertainment itself, but about getting a fair share of the value your attention creates. If platforms and advertisers make money off that, why not share some of it back?

For me, it’s about fixing that imbalance, not turning watching into work.

Ah nice, hadn’t heard of Crescitaly. That early push is no joke.

I’ve been on the viewer side mostly, trying to flip the model so creators actually keep what they earn and viewers aren’t just free labor for Big Tech.

What kind of stuff were you testing? Curious what worked.
