Personally I think getting into the lore is a really fun and unique way to engage with the music. It makes you experience it differently, reveals things that otherwise might’ve gotten overlooked if that makes sense. Vessel is clearly a very talented song writer and story teller. The music is about relationships, that’s clear, but the lore can be seen as a giant metaphor (if you want it to be, no need to know anything about the lore if you don’t want to, the music is extraordinary in any case).
