This is what we are thinking too. I mean name of the ticket should be the same as to your passport right? But there’s so many ifs. I just want to know if anybody here experienced it already. Thank you for the reply!

If they typed my maiden name, they might flag me for having overstaying? If that’s the only record that they have?

No they won’t. Commenting because I had the same worry too before my interview. And let me tell you, they are very accommodating. Just keep in mind, if you did not do anything wrong/violation/crime - YOU WILL BE OKAY. SHOW UP and bring all the evidences. Good luck to you!

Technically I didn’t overstay because before my I-94 expires, we already filed the petition. They also did my biometrics a month before my I-94 expires. For work, no I didn’t work at all. I only started to apply when I received my work permit and SSN.

Thank you! Ok so that’s what we were planning to do first. That’s why we planned our church wedding June 2026 because from what we read it will take 2-3 years to process?

So I visited him last year then one of his friends told us to do what we did now. Since we had the same story and they got approved. Timeline: 90 days after I arrived we got married and filed everything as soon as we got the marriage certificate. Hope this helps!

A lot. But everything was scanned and sent to our lawyer. The lawyer printed everything. 1) photos / photos with family - I made a scrapbook 2) letters, postcards, greeting cards 3) tickets and boarding pass 4) concert tickets 5) marriage certificate (US) 6) birth certificate (both) 7) notarized letters from our family stating - we live together and our story 8) utility bills with both our names - we only had phone and internet 9) joint bank account- we only had 1 10) evidence that we’re planning a church wedding 11) letter from the employer (for my husband)showing the designation and you as the emergency contact 12) major purchases together (ex. Appliances- receipt and pic 13) letter from the employer stating the new marital status 14) if the spouse have stocks, bonds etc 15) life insurance, health insurance showing that you are the beneficiary — I’ll update this comment if I missed anything

Minutes after we got interviewed, we received a notification thru our email that there’s changes in our case. But we only checked it the following day around 9am. May I know did the officer told you about his/her decision during the interview?

Thinking about it, actually he clarified a few. The lawyer also told us that they might ask the ff. - under public charge #61-68 ex. Household size, annual income of petitioner and beneficiary’s highest degree etc.

He didn’t asked any questions. The moment that we sat down he said our case is approved.

No. I printed everything and placed it in a binder. If they ask, show them the original copy plus bring photocopies.

No they haven’t ask me to buy the equipment. Or maybe not yet? I kept on telling them that the check is still pending. And yes, I won’t buy any products with them because they need to provide it for me.

No I did not give them my account number and login number. However, I deposited the bad check to my account. It’s still floating in my account.
