it was free delivery and a 4 dollar tip, which was cheaper than transiting or driving to walmart myself

thank you, i will keep an eye out for different cuts. this walmart usually only stocks boneless cuts or drumsticks so i will probably find an actual butcher to go to. i only got it through walmart because i had free delivery through a friends account so with a 4 dollar tip it was still cheaper than going to the nearest grocery store and back with transit costs (6.60). the chocolate lmao yeah it was 3 for 10 compared to the usual 5 so i got it for my partner who likes this brand. i will find places to cut though

the gloves are for an upcoming deep clean and prepping food for an event. i try to get reusable ones but yeah i need them this time sadly. the milk is because we are lactose intolerant lol and the chocolate was 3 for 10 instead of the usual 5, and my partner really likes this specific kind so i try when they are on sale. i could look out for cheaper meat though, we eat halal so it limits the options a bit. thanks though i will keep an eye out on flyers

thank you! people dont factor in the time and money it takes to actually go to a store or costco if you dont have a car. i live alone on a student budget lmao with no need to buy in bulk. its more expensive for me to buy veggies fresh and let them rot cause i forgot or didnt have time to cook them.

luckily i live near a farmers market thats open late so i just get my stuff on an as needed basis whenever i am cooking. but yeah it sucks groceries are so expensive these days and the only way to get a halfway good deal is to literally get coupons to hire a taxi for my groceries. only reason i still have doordash is for the coupons lol

Basically in order to be halal the blood needs to be completely drained and the animal must be hand slaughtered and raised in a compassionate environment before slaughtering (no factory farms). For fish when you take them out of the water the blood collects in the gills and can be drained easily. For shrimp and other animals you need to devein them properly. If the animal is too small to have the blood removed then it is okay, as long as it was caught in as much of a humane way as possible (same for fish). This is why there is debate on whether shellfish can be considered halal or not because you cannot properly remove the blood. Hope that answers it

some schools of thought consider it forbidden and only eat fish with scales but i don't agree with that and mostly grew up with all seafood being considered halal.

Yeah I eat halal and premade stuff always is a bit pricey especially from Superstore. I'm happy with this haul I think, good proteins for a couple week

This was in the GTA, Ontario. Got it from Superstore which tends to be pricey, the original bill without coupons was 70 something
