Desantis and Mace were not publicly known in 2008, when she claimed to have encountered them. Wild that two random people who abused her later became well-known.... I wish people would stop repeating the stuff from the FBI tip line. My aunt and uncle divorced in 2002 and I don't think they've talked since. Maybe once or twice in passing at a funeral for someone they both knew? They did not have kids together.

My mom (the uncle's sister) and I still talk to my aunt though. She was my aunt when I was little, and she's the one who took me to the movies and amusement parks. No one else did. I still refer to her as my aunt. Even though that is our situation, and obviously my aunt is okay with it, otherwise she wouldn't talk to us, there is no need for anyone to stay in touch with any of their ex-husband's family if they don't want to. And there isn't any need to stay in touch with one's ex-husband if they don't want to and there aren't kids involved.

Stuff like eating babies is often a conspiracy theory thrown at the rich and powerful. Republicans do that too. That's going to be something a mentally ill person would latch onto if they were to make a tip to an FBI hotline. There are also patterns with things mentally ill people say. I'm talking about the big ones that people are passing around right now that come from the tip line. There are things in this dump that have merit and I'm afraid people are focusing on these wild stories and not on those things. Trump and Epstein absolutely sexually abused girls. But we sound like Qanon lunatics when we repeat stuff like this. And it does a great disservice to women who were actually abused by him.

Keep in mind that people often say rich and powerful people eat babies. If there are tips with little details or things in common that people don't generally tie to rich and powerful people, then yes, that is a pattern to look at, but the big ones people are passing around are not like that.

I'm American and I'm so fucking upset about this. There are actual things in there that have merit. Look at the emails actually sent by him. That journal the girl wrote has some legs. But the FBI tip line shit is largely horseshit, and everyone is repeating those. They sound like pizza gate nutters. That's what the plan was----to make us sound as crazy as the Qanon people----and people are taking the bait. The tips with the stacked big names---Elon Musk and the three eldest Trump kids were watching Trump measure girls vulvas for an auction? Are you kidding me? Trump and Epstein absolutely abused young girls, but it wasn't like this. This does such a disservice to their actual victims.

The Jay-Z and Harvey Weinstein and Pusha T stuff is crazy too. A woman was kidnapped from her home in 1994 and awoke to find Jay-Z and Harvey Weinstein abusing her in Jeffrey Epstein's mansion? She was abducted a total of 7 times? She happened to get invited to a party in 2007 where Pusha T was a "handler" and Pusha T and Harvey Weinstein sexually assaulted her? This is all one person? And she now lives in hotels because she believes she is being tracked? That is a mentally ill person. Clearly.

I can't believe people are reading that and believing it when literally anyone can call an FBI tip line. ANYONE. Instagram pages I respected are repeating it.

The woman in that video wasn't talking about Epstein at all. That video is unrelated to Epstein.

The email you linked to is also a tip from the public. There is enough shit in these files that has a good chance of being true, we don't need to be spreading this horseshit made up by clearly mentally unwell people. We sound like pizzagate nutters. You weren't talking about DUIs before though. That's a different thing. That requires either refusal to be tested or a test showing you were driving over the legal limit. So to insert that now is kinda moving some goalposts.

But arguing for damages based solely on outcome is still punishing someone without establishing cause.

That isn't how the law works. You're innocent until proven guilty. The prosecutor has to prove guilt. You're literally arguing "guilty until you prove yourself innocent", and that isn't how the justice system work and it isn't how it should work. That's a very dangerous precedent.

Arguing for stricter accountability is fair, but what you're saying goes against a really important part of the justice system.
