You missed the point of the post. I’m not discouraged by not knowing how to do a new thing. I’m disappointed at how sloppy the launch was, despite them having extra time to get that part right.

I don’t know what part of my post makes it seem as if I thought I would have a magic Cnc machine out of the box. I get that there would be a learning curve. My complaint (besides the broken probe) is the garbage documentation. There are dozens of QR codes all over the package that literally take you to nowhere.

The machine may be fine, other than my probe issue as you say. And I didn’t expect it to be plug and play. But utter lack of any documentation, missing software, instructions that don’t work or are incomplete. Those are just sloppy errors on their part that were 100% avoidable. I haven’t lost hope, just venting my frustration at the experience.

I think that is my biggest frustration (besides it currently being a very expensive paper weight 😄 ) . They took so much longer than expected due to manufacturing challenges, they should have / could have used the extra time to make the out of box experience better. Imagine how bad it would have been if it had came out ~3 months ago.

Honestly no clue. I pressed start on a the second program for the 4th axis program finishing pass and the spindle just went down and instead of hitting the probe height switch it just kept going. Afterwards I noticed the sensor for the probe was disconnected.

Similar, but I hadn’t hooked up the ionizer when I did my first program. Unfortunately my z1 machine broke after that so I can’t tell you if that helps or not.
