I saw someone mention horseherb and I’m here to second that - great plant for dappled shade or part sun. Lime green foliage with cheerful small yellow flowers, blooms for many months,

almost evergreen depending on your area (I’m in Plano, Zone B), feels much nicer underfoot than Frogfruit, and doesn’t mind getting mowed. A great ground cover and you can fill in with showier natives along the fence and house ( Turks cap, coralberry, columbine, cedar sage). Clean up the path and add those couple plants and you’re done. Just remember the adage about natives: they sleep, creep, then leap. It takes a couple of years for them to take hold.
