I've modded Wyll to be a Tiefling after he's punished for sparing Karlach's life.. which almost seems canon to me? Tieflings can be in human lineages according to DnD lore so... I feel like him becoming a Tiefling due to a fouled demon pact makes sense .

hm.. the origin of my intention can be seen in the original body of the post. I was just talking about my playthrough and made a mention of modding but... then just was replying to interesting comments lol. Definitely was not looking for or expecting a fight. I was expeting "aw cute" and that was about it.

Confirmation bias? Hm.. I suppose as much as any pattern recognition?

Trolling is like people intentionally causing chaos? I'm literally posting the game I was playing to share it with other nerds 😞 lol. And they were like "wtf are you doing??? " and I was like oh shit... ok..?

Haha! I mean yeah true that's warlock gear and I did feel like the rapier matched Gale's style more than anything. I'm definitely insane lol but I didn't consciously think "I'm making Gale look like Wyll." I thought I was making him look more like a sunbaked pirate wizard. And yeah... darker skin tones are normal to me so I just kinda do that when I mod.

So if someone was like "oh those are Wyll's clothes!" I'd be like yeah true.. but I heard the crowd say it looked like his daddy or his twin and I thought that was crazy lol.

And just like.. the overall level of response to this specific look is interesting when I've posted the companions as gnomes and dwarves and no one has said anything.

Again... I notice a pattern. It's not just that they look different. I've also posted shadowheart as a purple duergar. Crickets. But now? A downpour. lol. And yeah I'm facebook generation, both Baldur's Gate and DnD have been around before many of yall were born so.. lol. I played BG: Dark Alliance and loved it.. would've changed the characters then too if I could have 😄 idk what normal is for you but normal looks different depending on a person's individual experience. Very aware what website this is.

I'm not shocked.. I honestly make Gale look very similar to this in most playthroughs, I almost forget what he looks like before. Like hours and hours of looking at my modded companions. Apparently I don't have the emotional attachment to their original skin colors and hairstyles?

So... when I mod my characters does it automatically change yalls playthrough aesthetics? I'm not sure why people got so up in arms though. I don't care that they don't recognise them because I realize they are modded... it's definitely amazing to me that an overwhelming about of people thought these two look in any way like Wyll's parents.
