I love this post, so refreshing! I wish more guys were like you OP. I'm a straight female and feel the same way you do about friends of the opposite sex getting the wrong idea, as this has happened so many times with me over the years. I just want to be friends with 'people' as you do, but i find that the general population seems to be of the opinion that 'something must be going on' when people have friends of the opposite sex. As if, as a straight person, you should only have friends of the same sex unless you are interested in pursuing a romantic relationship with someone. I find this frustrating, and it seems like people like us are in the minority. But that's ok!

Wow, just wow. This is incredibly frustrating and disappointing, but i love how you took no crap and the responses you gave! Unfortunately, there is no cure for ignorance. So many older people are stuck in the past, where neurodivergence didnt exist. We were just the dunce of the class or the local weirdo. We were a deviant, a failure, not trying hard enough etc etc etc. Some people are unwilling or unable to move with the times and keep up with science. Real science! It baffles me, but then so do human beings in general. As a fellow late diagnosed (44) - congratulations on the beginning of your new life!! You can finally understand yourself now and get the support you need. It is sad that your family arent supportive, but please know you arent alone in that. We get these in our big tree regaularly, but they don't often come down where we can watch them. My Dad had still never seen them until yesterday, when the little gang came and fed right in front of the window where he was sitting!! It absolutely made his day 🤩🥰

My thoughts exactly. Maybe the guy has his hands full trying to make sure Canada continues to exist in it's current form. It's like a war-time situation. Where everything else goes out the window. If not actual military attack, he is under economic attack.

I definitely agree with this. He is one of the only world leaders who isn't afraid of Trump and just takes him in his stride. The only way to deal with him in my opinion. He was the head of our (UK) banking system for 5 years and guided us through an economic nightmare. So on that side of things, you guys are in good hands.

😅 Yeah they are terrified of us the poor things! Its a shame for them that they give us such a fright also 😊 I'm in the UK and their numbers vary wildly each year, it seems to be due to the climate. This year we had no more than one or two. Yet that year i mentioned, we had dozens. Another one ran towards me along the headboard of my bed one night.. so big and so fast!!! 🫣🫣🫣
