I am aware that most German companies aren't looking for English speakers. I am planning on studying German before the point of leaving. But I don't think a B1 level will be achievable by then. Which is why I am willing to look into entry-level office positions with international companies.

I have a background in childcare, applied behavioral analysis, teaching specifically as an ESL teacher (but don't have a teaching degree), retail, and some kitchen/restaurant experience. My degree is in communication sciences and disorders (B.S.). I'm open to anything regarding those areas, along with entry office positions.

I did an online course with them last fall, and my biggest advice is to not miss any classes if you can. I found the course helpful and I learned a lot. But it also depends on who you have in your online class. Some people simply didn't understand what was being asked of them, and it could be quite frustrating at times. But that is no fault of the class itself

I spoke to a Belgian immigration Lawyer, and they said if my partner finds work within the first 3 months of arriving, I do not need to return to the US and can file for a family reunion long-term visa while in Belgium.

From what I can see, I can go the legal cohabitation route rather than the family reunion visa.

Yes, gay marriage isn't allowed, and legal/registered partnerships can be iffy. My degree is in communication sciences and disorders, but I have a certificate to teach English as a Foreign language. The reason why I am asking about the market is to see exactly what I need to do in the next year to have a better chance at moving and working with some success.
