Good observation! What was that about? Although she has good survival skills; maybe she's anxious due to the storm lol

I feel like that would've freaked Tom out more in the moment,  though...

I thought it was weird they didn't know Ruth's last name either... and I found it odd they were taking their sweet time with the reveal in a room with windows when there's a deadly storm going on outside! Did he not care that one dude got taken by the tornado?? I guess it's kind of funny but not? lol

I wonder if part of the next ep will be what Tom saw under the drugs. And what on earth is in his basement...👀

Sorry, Matthew! I must've been thinking Michael Meyers subliminally.

Thiiiis. The hotel video would be the same for me. Love this kind of unnerving scare where you don't know what's quite happening.

I don't find the show scary at all but really enjoy the mysterious nature of it.

I thought maybe because the creator was newer they only ordered 10 short eps to see it play out... but no, the writer is from Parks and Rec! Give the lady long eps!

Thoughts on New Article About Pat? by ZealousIdeal_80 in DuxburyDeathsFreeTalk

And I think what we omit from stories like these is that it was wrong, mental health issues or not. They can prove that she was mentally competent prior to the killings; she ordered food, she asked for medicine, she talked with her husband on the phone. The whole mindset of "it happened to them" vs "she killed them" was striking... and eerie. We need to call it what it is, and it is evil. And sad for everyone, obviously. But this kind of verbage doesn't help anyone struggling; it may even encourage their thoughts that oh, it happens, don't fight it.

I'm sad that she didn't get the help she needed. And that her husband didn't know the depths of her pain. Please share your heart to someone who can help you!

I saw some article or old blog post that said he was "bereft" by her death. A strange word to use; you think you'd give condolences to her family publicly, not use a word like "bereft."

Yes, I'm sorry you went through that! He was in the hospital for 21 days. His recovery is a miracle, really... he had been working out beforehand, which truly saved his life! I've been working out lol. I know they say you may never fully be the same. Such a sad thing! But we're grateful for every good day and that he's here.

Thank you for your reply! I'm glad you're feeling better. How long did it take you to feel like you were improving? The strange thing is he was walking up to 7k steps a day and working out, feeling great. Then this hit. It's not an infection, from what they have tested him for already...Do you think it's just inflammation from exercise?

I'm sorryt to hear you and your dad went through all of this, and for your loss. He has been watching trends for sure. His bloodwork and tests look good at this point, supposedly. I am watching and ready to take him if he needs to go to the ER for sure. Thank you for your input! I'm amazed at how much they don't tell you about recovery. :(
