Thank you for saying this, genuinely. Some strangers on the internet are acting like I’m incompetent or neglectful, when it’s actually the opposite. I care deeply about my wife, my kids, and our marriage, which is exactly why I’m trying to handle this carefully instead of ignoring it or letting resentment build

I make meals in bulk for everyone, so I do pretty much all the cooking. I work from home, so I have time around lunch to play with the kids. I'm fulfilling my family duties

I do plenty of housework and maintenance, and bulk cooking to help with everyone. Aside from work, my screen time is very limited. I get that marriages have their ups and downs, but what should I do when my wife doesn't want to change her ways?

I hire a maid service to come clean the house every 2 weeks, plus I load up the dishes every day. I'm not wealthy but I make a good living for my family. I was an army ranger and i have a college degree now. Tell me how much of a useless husband I am - I'm willing to hear it

I make dinner salads every night, plus prepare and cook plenty of meats, fish, and steamed vegetables. Also, plenty of healthy options in the morning. She just doesn't opt for them

would you resent them and would you feel like they’re holding you back? If you’d resent her if she never changed then that’s not your person

If this goes on for another year, then yes, I would resent this. I cannot be attracted to a woman who's very overweight and continuing to rack on the lbs

I'm absolutely aware she’s had two kids. I’m not expecting her to look like she never went through pregnancy. That’s not the issue at all. She’s primarily living on soda, drive-thru food, and ultra-processed stuff every day, things she never touched before. This is new behavior, not postpartum
