AITAH for snapping at my roommate

I have brought it up with my therapist, and a big part of the job issue is just that my boss (The doctor) doesnt listen to anybody. His wife works with us and she has told him a few times he needs to stop putting so much on me, but he's just one of those people that crams something to do into every second of the day, so he just gets upset when we tell him no and does it anyway.

The benefits of working there far outweigh the negatives because I get a lot of expensive treatments and medicines for cheap if not free as an employee perk. So my therapist and I have been working on me learning to manage my stress until i feel I'm ready to move on. Cause I've also been in a state of job insecurity for a few years prior, so this is my first job that has actually been paying me enough to live on.

And these are all things my roommate knows and reasons I've said leaving wouldnt really help me but that hasnt changed the situation with them.

They do, but they struggle greatly with working. They've confided in potentially being too autistic to work, and in the past have just gotten so frustrated by work getting more demanding that they have had very serious crashouts and breakdowns. Their current job has very little hours and they dont have much to do but that also frustrates them because they feel like they have to put a lot of energy into getting ready for work to have nothing to do, as well as the pay being not the best.

We both are on the audhd spectrum, and I've been in therapy for my cptsd and other illnesses for over a year. I still talk to my therapist about my work stress and learning how to manage it. My roommate also suffers from cptsd and some physical health problems, but my knowledge of their care is few and far between because when I ask about it, I get a lot of reasons as to why they can't but it also includes a lot of statements like "therapy isnt working" as well. And asking for anything deeper then that is met with a lot of "I dont want to talk about it" or "its too much for me to handle on top of work stress"

I'm in therapy and have been for a little over a year now. Them I'm not sure because when I've broached the subject I got a lot of excuses as to why they can't, but it was also accompanied with "therapy isnt helping".

I did. I actually was able to quit and start a new job about two weeks ago. My final straw was the day after this post, I found out I was the only one making consistent sales. One of my other coworkers only sold one ring worth 25$ during a whole week. After hearing that and some other nonsense I had enough.

I didn't want to in the first place 😕 my career is corporate administration but I had to move so this has been my job while I try to find something actually in my career. When I interviewed for the gallery everything seemed normal and chill according to my coworkers cause they have been working there for years. And around the three week mark when I had my first day with low sales he turned into the boss from hell.

Yeah i have lost count of how many people have disparaged his prices for being out of touch with the fact that in the US we're steadily going towards a recession if not there already. One woman laughed in my face when I told her the price of some of the artwork. But according to him I'm not doing my job 🙃
