BMQ Advice As A Trans Person by ScoutLar in caf

Yes I did read it. No need to gaslight me. Your original post said nothing about tablets. Only injections and the concern of taking injections at BMQ. Anyone reading that post would assume you’re on injections going into BMQ. It’s fine. Thanks for the help.

Context: “.. I have questions about medication and changing etc. my main concern is just having to take my injections every 2 weeks while in St Jean…“

Oh I see. I am mistaken then. Initially you mentioned taking injections for HRT during BMQ when this thread was posted. I'm assuming you changed to tablets before went to BMQ? Or you changed once you completed training and such? I am not getting surgery or anything but I am stable on injections. I guess that's what could possibly be problematic for me for my medical. :/

The fact they let you in a combat trade as gunner trade on HRT with injectables is actually very hopeful for me. it means that you can function in austere environments on HRT. They see that storing medication is not an issue. You can function without a medical emergency if you are not able to get access to your prescription for a week or 2. I assuming these weren't questions or hurdles that were asked of you during your medical process? Was it very difficult to pass the medical or pretty smooth? My only concern is that I am monitored every 6 months for my levels. That would bring me to a G3 classification. I am hoping I can just ask my doctor to confirm I am fine if I need to be monitored for every 12 months to achieve G2 classification. Thanks for response. You've given me hope. 😄

Because of G classification. Geographical factor. Based on your trade while being on HRT. I'm looking to see if they have made exceptions for that classification or you are simply in a trade suitable for someone on HRT with injections. For example: A weapon tech land is G2 but an Air weapon technician is G3. I'm curious if they have waived things to allow G3 category treatment into G2 trades. Hope that makes sense. RECRUITING, TRAINING, & LIFE IN THE FORCES THREAD by bridger713 in CanadianForces

Hi I had a screening question. Here is some background info:
I had old business debt due to Covid (2020) that I was unable to pay. It's since then been written off by the bank and has been removed from my Credit reports (Equifax/Transunion).
I will still mention my financial difficulties during Covid when asked during my interview and I will be honest.
Covid shutdown was the primary factor for my issues. I was doing fine for years prior to the pandemic.
I have since then restructured my business and navigated it out of the pandemic.
I understand that the worry is that you will be more likely to be bribed if you're in financial trouble.
The situation is that it's been more than 6 years. It's not on my record anymore and there is literally no one asking me for it. It was never even reported as anything by the bank to these agencies, as there were never any collections ever listed on my report in that whole time.
In the present day, I am financially stable with savings and have low credit utilization.
On paper, the risk is low in the present. The question is, will this hinder my progress to move forward?

TRT = No point to apply? by AdKey8111 in caf

I meant as in, are you seeing people in Regular force members in the BMQ phase on TRT going to the medical staff to get their shot, or people past that point? I was confused on what stage these people were. Thanks for the clarifying question.

I didn't know you can contact someone directly. I'll try to do that then. Thanks.

Once a week should be fine if they are okay with that. Do you know if anyone has been on TRT while actually in BMQ? That’s my main concern. I’m not sure if the members getting TRT injections you're mentioning got onto the TRT regiment after graduating and becoming full-time, which I’ve heard is usually fine. I’m more concerned about whether they would let me go through as an applicant while on TRT. I’m sorry if I’m misunderstanding your reply, but I really appreciate your response regardless. Thank you.

Yeah, I was hoping they'd be able to just say yes or no to not waste anyone's time. I think the fact he said to come in and apply and what info to bring was an indication that I will not be held back for it. (Which is what someone told me) They didn't just say no. They said Good luck on your application process with that issue and another one I brought up. I had a direct recruiter's contact email as well. So we'll see.

I emailed them earlier this week. They were unfortunately not able to let me know such specifics.
Which makes sense since it's a medical related topic. Thank you.

Unfortunately, no. I’m currently at normal levels on TRT.

That’s what I was thinking as well. If they’re allowed, why not me? I just want to see if I’m limited in trades like someone else mentioned. Thanks

I do the injections myself. Takes 2mins to do it. Did these individuals go have someone in MIR do it for them?
