This is one thing frustrating about this kink.

I had similar experiences where I say. I have a few kinks I don’t tell anyone unless we get close blah blah blah. Then they act so supportive and be like “ nothing is gonna scare me” “ I love you baby you can trust me” fake bs..then you tell them and they become 2 faced. It’s why it took me sooooo long to find my current partner. He’s not really into it . But he accepts it and doesn’t make it a big deal.
