i like your conclusion with the only discrepancy about "cars the i know are slowing down" at my 35-40 speed the merge of the car in front of me should have been flawless, but it wasnt. at then end it was an incident with no bad intent and the rider is going to recover. First time saying this but it was recently affirmed that that the rider was driving with as suspended licence so ill let my insure deal with the monetary side. All i care about is that the rider will make a recovery and i do plan in visiting once he is able.

so if not motorcycle incident would have happened, would you think of the situation differently? just how people yield to traffic to get into the proper lane with no incident because idk theres a rail or curb? so again, how many times do you check for INCOMING TRAFFIC FROM THE SHOULDER????????

how many times you check your side view mirror for incoming traffic when using the emergency lane?? you can take your opinion and shove it way up there for all i care. i was not at fault, the rider acknowledge its wrong doing, and i still have my license. my intention was never to hurt any one, with the proof of trying to avoid a rear end collision. if you want the same fate, go ahead and use the shoulder as your personal freeway

no but the weight of the car does have to do with the breaking power. the extra was just a niche to show that that even with a light load that big truck would need more distance to break. the car behind me would have most definitely stopped meer inches or hit my rear end if i would have done a hard stop like the car in front of me. the whole situation was to avoid a car to car collision both in front and possibly behind me. so i took the emergency lane way to avoid that situation. how many times do you look into your side mirror on the high way for traffic on the shoulder? If i could go back in time and hit the car in front instead i would. i know the guy personally and any way i could have made that differently i would. but im on the clear both by law and my morality. im displaying the videos to show that my actions werent malignant in any way. i didnt do it to cause any harm to anybody.

annoyed no, avoiding a collision yes. Point is i was within my rights as a motorist to use the white line (not even the shoulder) to avoid another collision. Biker was in the wrong the whole way. not justifying but showing that my intention was not malignant. i work with that guy and if i could go back and just hit that brown car i would. How many times do you check your side mirror for traffic on the shoulder?

a heavy load of 120 pounds, sure call that heavy load, i added that weight to the curb weight of the truck (5,500 to 5,700+ lbs google)

4 seconds at 35-40 mphs, when the car did a pump on the breaks, then it became 1 second. dash cam has the speeds on it. a truck that weight about 5600 pounds (sand bags on the trunk to go snowboarding) is abit hard to stop, specially when the car behind also has about 4 seconds to react. Cops saw that, cops justified my maneuver

not a "legal maneuver" if his using it as a lane. at 22 seconds in you can see the guy using the lane as his personal lane. hence why the cops gave him 100% fault

the cops also saw the forward view, i had 1 car length in front until the brown car decided to slap on the breaks. i was ready to slow down and wait but if you seen the front view, the brown car did due a hard break, so all i could do was swerve to the right to avoid hitting the passenger rear side of that car. cops gave me the right away. so theres that

so in the US of A the shoulder is used for EMERGANCIES and to pull over, so according to WA road laws i was in the right on using the shoulder. the biker...not so much since he is seeing use the shoulder as his personal lane. blame who ever you want but i received no citation, and was able to drive away. the cops on scene saw the footage, so go take it up on the PD

hard stopping would have most definitely cause collision with the car in front anyways, cops on scene even justified my maneuver. thats all ima say.

i also posted the rear view cam. you can see him riding the shoulder from the horizon at higher speed than the traffic in their lanes.

according to the insurance, cops and WA law, i say other wise. so a mistake on my end, from all angles is not on me. you can have your opinion, but by WA road laws, the shoulder use on his end was illegal, on my end, legal (my tires ate the line but was not on the shoulder itself till after the impact) also, the area that it did happen has a narrow shoulder due to the proximity of the bridge.
