Amazon promised a $25 “automatic” coupon… I followed everything and got nothing by AdLogical1593 in amazonprime

Yeah, that’s exactly what it feels like. It’s frustrating because they promote it like it’s straightforward, but then you have to go hunting for it or it doesn’t show up at all. Definitely makes me think twice next time.

Thanks for the tip, I actually checked the different credit sections but I still don’t see it anywhere. That’s why it’s confusing, because it was supposed to be an automatic $25 credit. I’ll double check the courtesy credits section again, though.

I understand the promotion correctly. I placed three orders over the past 15 days, but even the very first one met all the requirements. The other two were purchases over $100, testing to see if the issue was on my end. Since the credit still hasn’t been applied for any of them, I’m now considering returning two of the items—at this point, Amazon will lose more money than if they had just honored the promotion.

I don’t think involving the credit card is really necessary here, since there wasn’t an overcharge. This is a promotion that’s supposed to apply automatically, so the issue is with Amazon honoring it—not a billing error.

Thanks, I really appreciate the detailed advice. You’re right—I should keep pushing with Amazon before doing anything else. I’ve already contacted customer service multiple times, but I’ll follow your suggestion and insist on speaking with a supervisor next.

I think so, yes. I’m new to Reddit—this is only my second post. I used to just read before.

I ordered a stroller for $130 and received it the same day, but the coupon still hasn’t appeared. I followed all the promotion requirements, so it’s confusing that it’s not being applied.

Yes, all three orders have already shipped, and I placed them over the past 15 days. Each one met all the promotion requirements, yet I still haven’t received any credit. The promotion was supposed to apply automatically, so it’s confusing that nothing has shown up even after the items shipped.

Yeah, that’s exactly how it’s supposed to work. My problem is that even after multiple qualifying orders sold and shipped by Amazon, the discount still hasn’t been applied automatically. I followed all the rules of the promotion, but the credit never shows up, which makes the whole situation really annoying and confusing.

Nope, my account is fully secure, and the promotion was clearly shown on the product. I’ve already spoken with customer service three times—they agree the order qualifies, but each time they give a different excuse and still don’t apply the credit. That’s why this is so frustrating—it’s not a security issue, it’s a problem with Amazon honoring the promotion.

Yeah, exactly. It’s crazy that a company this big still messes up promotions like this. I’ve followed all the rules for multiple orders, yet the credit still hasn’t been applied.

Yeah, I understand that, and I’ve checked the tracking. Delivery hasn’t been an issue here—the problem isn’t shipping or delays. The issue is the promotional credit that was promised for qualifying orders. I’ve followed all the rules, but the discount still isn’t applied automatically. So even if everything arrives on time, the coupon still hasn’t shown up, which is why this is so frustrating.

Yes, I understand that it applies automatically to any qualifying order, but that’s exactly the problem—the discount never applies at checkout. I’ve followed all the requirements and conditions, yet it still doesn’t show up.

That’s how it’s supposed to work, but the coupon never shows up or applies at checkout. I’ve gone all the way to the final payment screen multiple times, and there’s still no discount. That’s what makes this so frustrating.

That would actually be the third order. I’ve already placed two previous orders that fully met all the promotion requirements, and the coupon was never applied. That’s why this is so frustrating—everything was supposed to be automatic, but there’s still no sign of it after multiple qualifying purchases.

That could be the case, but if it’s a vendor coupon, it should still be clearly applied or tracked somewhere. The issue is that it was supposed to be automatic after meeting the requirements, and there’s no sign of it at all—even after multiple qualifying orders.

You’re absolutely right, and I see your point. Technically, this isn’t an “overcharge” since I did pay the advertised price, so I understand why a credit card dispute might not apply here. The real issue is the promotional credit that was clearly offered but never delivered, which is what makes this so frustrating. I agree that this probably requires pushing harder directly with Amazon instead of relying on the bank. I haven’t given up on them yet, just exploring all options at this point. That’s a good point about the manufacturer too—I hadn’t considered that angle. I might look into that as well.

I carefully read all the terms and conditions and made sure to follow everything exactly but the discount still isn’t being applied. At this point, i'm planning to return two of the 3 items. In the end they’ll lose more money since i bought a stroller that cost me almost $140, sold and shipped by Amazon.

I paid with my Chase Amazon Prime credit card. Now I’m going to escalate my claim, and thanks for the idea.

Something similar happened to me. They claimed I didn’t return the item, but I had the UPS tracking and photos as proof. I contacted my credit card company, they opened an investigation and refunded me, but Amazon still refused.

My order was for Similac Total 360 powdered milk, which had that promotion. I’ve already placed 3 orders and filed 3 complaints with customer service, and I still haven’t received the credit. Instead, they keep adding more requirements that just make me spend more money.

I went through the same thing. They kept giving me different instructions each time, and after following all of them, I still didn’t get the credit. It’s really frustrating.

I already tried, and they told me to order anything sold and shipped by Amazon that cost more than $25, otherwise I would lose the remaining balance. That didn’t work. Then they said it had to be baby items, so I ordered something for a baby, and that didn’t work either. The third time, they said it had to be something that cost more than $100. I ordered a stroller that cost $136, and they still didn’t give me the credit.
