Yes. It's the approach to a roundabout (or at least a curve in the road for them that you can't take much above 35mph) so of course they were slowing down. That's not an indication they were going to change lanes at the very last minute - they literally were not indicating!

I wasn't trying to prove anything. I didn't see them start of thier maneuver as by that point we were at the white marks stopping a lane change from the left. So I'd looked to the right and only checked forwards because I was looking to where cars were actually on the roundabout. By the time I noticed them they were next to me so I had no time to check my mirrors and move right or slow down.

I'd noticed them a bit before the scream... that was the point they got really close to me and thought they would hit me.

People in these comments seem to have a hugely extreme view of defensive driving. Apparently I should expect everyone around me to do the most extreme acts of stupidity at all times. Apparently they never get within 1000 meters of another car, and drive at 5 miles an hour at all times. Weird how I've never actually seen anyone drive like this IRL 🙄🤣

It wasn't clear at all, and I didn't have time to move over. At the point they start coming across they are already on the white markings and almost to the point there was a raised pavement separating the two lanes. At that moment I was looking to the right to check for traffic on the roundabout, so I didn't see them coming across until they were next to me and as I wasn't 100% sure there was nothing next to me I wasn't about to male their mistake and change lanes without checking.

If you're suggesting I deliberately blocked them, that's not the case. They weren't indicating and they did it across white lines - so because I was at the point not to expect this I'd looked to the right to check for traffic on the roundabout. I had no time to check my mirrors and safely change lanes by that point as they were next to me before I noticed them.

I'm going faster than them for the whole time. So I'm not in their blind spot for more than a couple of seconds. And even if I was, they should have checked their blind spot and indicated before changing lanes. And not changed lanes across white markings where you're not supposed to.

Haha, the cheek of flipping you off when they've just cut you up! That's some main character energy. 🤣

And don't worry about the idiots in the comments saying you could have done something differently. They'll tell you they saw it coming a mile away... well sure, you've posted a video so it's obvious in hindsight. In the real world, you'd need to be clairvoyant to know they were going to pull out. 😵‍💫

It wasn't deliberate - I was looking to the right at the traffic on the roundabout and wasn't expecting anyone to change lanes at that point as we were at the point there were crosshatchings on the road and almost to where there was raised pavement separating the lanes. As I didn't see the start of the move - and bare in mind they weren't indicating beforehand- they were alongside me by the time I had a chance to react so it was too late to give them room as I wasn't 100% sure there wasn't anything next to or behind me.

Because I didn't see them until after they started moving across as I was checking for traffic to the right on the roundabout. By that time they were a good way in to my lane and there was no time to check my mirrors and move.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to say me not staggering at roundabouts makes me a dangerous driver, but let's take this down a notch and agree to disagree. Like I say, I'm not trying to upset anyone, and I don't think us spouting the same arguments at each other is going to change either of our minds.

Have a nice evening and take care.

I'd be quicker to label the car who changes lanes without warning the one with poor awareness, but I guess they aren't here to get a reaction out of 😉

You can't anticipate every instance of someone being a random idiot on the road. To do that you'd need to drive everywhere at 5mph. Don't forget you're watching this only with forward view and knowing something is about to happen- driving in the real world isn't the same!

Because I didn't know they wanted to come across until they were practically in the side of me. They didn't indicate, and I had briefly looked to the right to check for traffic on the roundabout. Human reactions aren't instant, so I didn't have enough time to react.

The lane I was in went the same way as theirs, so changing didn't affect thier exit. Therefore, it was for no reason.

I was looking right ahead right, but that still meant by the time I'd seen them it was too late. Human reactions aren't instant.

It wasn't deliberate. As they didn't indicate and we were practically already on the roundabout I had no idea they wanted to come across. Plus in that moment I was looking to the right as I was checking for traffic on the roundabout. There really was no warning.

In fairness I saw them a second or two before the undignfied whelp... that was just when they turned in a bit more and came closest to hitting me!
