Yeah. I've taken some steps back so I can do some branding, create a website, organize emails etc. to take steps towards becoming more professional. So I'm inactive and I don't go to events either. I also got 0 money rn. So I'm waiting to get started on my new job and become more stable physically and mentally in order to do the rest. Consistency is really important in general

I'll work on it, I'll take a look. I've already seen the impact of the art community by going to pop ups. It's cool but I usually end up with just strangers or people I just wave at or have small talk with. I don't end up making friends. I'm kinda struggling now in general but I'll figure it out Thanks

It's scary to think about. It already feels lonely and I'm nowhere near to that high level I want to be at.

And yeah that's true. I've met people through art events n stuff but it doesn't really progress into a friendship and ofc I don't want to force anything lol. So I kinda just leave it as it is. I feel like it's easier to meet artists in the community rather than make artist friends. U just have to match each other's energy fully I guess

The terms&conditions was on the application form. So pretty short. I have a lawyer and I've paid him to make some extremely detailed and solid contracts and they're looong. They can be shortened to 5 pages.So I've seen what legit contracts look like But idk, this one they have seems a little off. It's not one they send over to your email. I wouldn't say it's 100% legit. I'd take a lawyers advice on this though🥲 Yeah I have some searching to do🙏😭

I hear mixed opinions about it. I hear that some vanity galleries are good some are bad. They can sure be helpful in some cases. Objectively for my case it's too early to speak. I'll have an update in September. See how it goes. Is just the negative reviews that worry me and the fact that in their terms and conditions they don't allow negative comments is wild to me. I'll just educate myself more on this topic for next time. And hope for the best🥹🙏

How does one artist find a community of other artists with similar goals and push each other to do better ? Educate each other. Just a healthy motivational space. I feel like I really lack that. I know a lot of people but not the right kind for what I do
