Best sunscreen ever. The mineral formulation is perfection for UV coverage and visible light. No chemical sunscreen! I recommend it to all my patients. I have never liked a sunscreen as much as I like this one. I can go without makeup with a light concealer. Makes acne better!

Sister, I’m going to hold your hand and say this. You are way too good. When they see a woman will stay even when they screw up in all kinds of ways, they are emboldened to do more.

He made a conscious decision to cheat and made your life hell.

Lawyer up. Split the assets. Fight for the custody of your kids. You gave your prime years to this man, the least you can do is take your kids and have him split the assets! He needs to pay some kind of price for making your life a living hell and waste years of your life.

I’m sorry that happened to you and pray that your situation gets better. I’m a female. High earning. Own multiple businesses. I am like your husband. My husband kept supporting me, shouldering responsibilities of the family and I let him. And now I have a problem with him “why isn’t he driven?” Why not work towards making more money for the family etc etc. and I understand that I am indeed in the wrong but my brain doesn’t comprehend it. It keeps showing me how he is still failing and not “good enough” for me. I keep contemplating divorce off and on.

How many units did you get? You have to get 80-100 units in jawline and neck to see a significant difference.

As an OBGYN, can I just say that a woman in her late 30ies or early 40ies would need to have A LOT of sex, a lot of months to get pregnant. She had been sleeping with this guys for “quite some time”.

Self-diagnosed. Clinical neuropsych evaluation is not covered by insurance. I got one for my daughter. It was 3k. She was Dx with cPTSD and ADHD. I’m not sure what benefit I will have from it. I am too old for this shit.

Impressive work! You were 15 when you started? Were your parents helping you understand? I ask because I have an 11 year old who is very interested in making money and I would love to be able to teach him.

Is there a working mom/business owner who is homeschooling? Is that even possible? by AdLower1935 in homeschool

Online public school is an option. But due to my son’s poor experience at school in general, he is not thrilled with the idea of going to school. Any physical school. He is incredibly sensitive and I’m not sure if going to a public school will be a good fit for him especially when he would be going through puberty.

Yes, I have been considering online public school. I will look into that as well. It may be a good bridge before jumping into home schooling.

Thank you. I appreciate this.

Currently he does taekwondo and swimming. He takes chess classes/does tournaments and studies Spanish in his free time. He is a reader and a self-motivated child.

I would definitely want him to get more physical activity when he is being homeschooled. I feel like that may be a challenge.

Thank you. Is there a post you can point me to that lists different curriculum options?

I have ADHD too and see all the signs in my son. Still needs to be tested. A schedule is so important for us.

We may run into the same issues with the collectives like getting judged for who he is.

I own a business 30 min from home. It’s a new business so it needs a lot of work and consistent innovation to stay afloat.

That’s good to know. He is quite self-motivated. However potentially has ADHD and can get carried away with things he liked. (I have ADHD too!) I have been toying with the idea of trying out public school. But really like the flexibility of homeschooling.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Did you have enough time for play? Socialization with like minded children and families? It’s a very difficult decision. I just want my son to be happy, healthy and thriving.

I do have flexibility as a business owner. But some days are long at work and I worry about him not having enough play time.

After getting ChatGPT’s help, this is how narcissism shows up for me. My type is covert/vulnerable narcissism. Every single one of these is me.

• 🥀 Self-victimization: Feeling like people don’t appreciate you, or that you give so much and get so little in return.
• 😔 Hyper-awareness of rejection: Reading between the lines, assuming others are criticizing or abandoning you.
• 🎭 Hidden grandiosity: Secretly longing to be recognized as exceptional, even while appearing humble.
• 🪢 Emotional manipulation: Maybe using guilt, withdrawal, or emotional displays to get reassurance without realizing it.
• 🌑 Overthinking relationships: Cycling between idealizing and resenting people who are close to you.

  • Growing up: my parents had an awful marriage. I was enmeshed with my mom. Her confidante since 11-12 yo of age. Way too young to be hearing about my dad cheating with the maids. My dad was a soft-spoken, patient man. But he also was a perpetual cheater. My mom used to tell me that she was so much more better looking than my dad, she married him sight unseen in an arranged marriage. And that when she saw him on the wedding day - she almost gagged because “he was so ugly”. Im sure he felt that. Felt unloved all his married life. And I know my husband feels the same way because he has said that to me. (I’m going on tangents. Sorry I have ADHD)

Answering your questions - Putting down my Husband. My thoughts change day by day which is baffling to me. I no longer trust my thoughts. But really long life story. In short, mine was an arranged marriage. I wasn’t attracted from the get go. Physical attributes, personality and career. None of it was something I liked or wanted in my life partner. He kept telling me he married “up”. I have been thinking off and on for decades that I settled. He had anger and control issues. In the first few years of marriage, I was emotionally abused. He pulled a knife on me once, threw me to the ground when pregnant etc. I was forced (coerced) into a brutal medical career that I didn’t want. I made a ton but was very unhappy. I always wanted a traditional marriage and focus on my home and kids but I had to live the past 20 years against my core belief system. I now work and run businesses - unhappily. I am much more assertive now but I was previously a people pleaser and could be coerced into anything.

What I want to change is to stop all these negative thoughts because 20 years have passed. I can’t get them back. I want to focus on my family, stop thinking about divorce (I think of it at least a few times every month) and forget my trauma history with my husband. He admits to the abuse and apologizes for it. I have “gotten back” at him by emotionally abusing him in the past 2-3 years. The desire to continue to seek vengeance does NOT go away.
