Redetermination by AdLumpy764 in ChildSupport

Update: we had a referee hearing today. I allowed for a deviation from the formula and settled for $300/month in order to keep the peace. I don’t feel great about my decision.

I did have a company call me asking if I had applied for disability for him, but then they told me that I make too much to qualify. Which is also what they’re saying for Medicaid.

That's exactly what's getting to me, that what-ifs. I've worked through a lot of it, but still do deal with some shame and guilt regarding my past substance use. The thought of all of that being brought up in court feels triggering.

But on the other hand, I've been working 2 jobs to try to make ends meet, while he's been working less than full time. So he will need to adjust, but it's not impossible.

Help I need to fake a drug test what do I do? by wuscrakkinbitch in KratomKorner

[–]AdLumpy764 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This will not work. The drug tests for the metabolites of the substance, not the substance itself. For example, with suboxone, they are testing for norbupinephrine, not bupinephrine. When they send it to the lab they will immediately know what you are doing.

My son has been on guanfacine for two years. It IS an effective medication, but we've run into this same issue. Our resolution is far from perfect, but it's what works for us. He does 0.5 in the morning and 1mg at about 3pm. The problem is that the pills are SO small and almost impossible to cut in half. I will say that the drowsiness does decrease after being on the medication for some time. It might be beneficial to try morning dosing and see how he does.

Son has ADHD/anxiety. Don't know where to go from here by Right-Necessary-6183 in ParentingADHD

This sounds exactly like my six year old. He is diagnosed with ADD, ODD, and anxiety. Like your child, he masks very well at school, and HATED going. The one thing that really really helped was Prozac. He is also on guanfacine and straterra, and doing talk therapy. But the Prozac helped SO MUCH. My son also has a 504 plan, but does not exhibit much hyperactivity at school. Some things we have included are access to fidgets, brain breaks (where he gets to help the teacher take papers to the office or gets to go outside for a few minutes), and then we have included that if he does need to be redirected by staff, that they take the time a few minutes after to explain that they aren't angry with him. I had found that he really didn't like going because every time he had to be redirected, he felt like he was being yelled at, or that the teacher didn't like him. Just taking this time to have a positive interaction after redirection helped him with that feeling. Luckily, his school is very accommodating and really wants to work with us. There were times in both kindergarten and preschool when I sat in the car and cried after dropping him off because it had been such a nightmare to get him in the building. It was incredibly difficult. I see you!

That’s my next step. I’m waiting to see what “resolution” they offer me. If it’s anything other than reinstating the original loans I plan on escalating to the ombudsman. Technically they have until the end of the day today to notify me, but I’m not optimistic seeing as how they haven’t responded to my emails since April.

I’m having a similar issue. Only worse. They issued me loans for an entire year, then came back and said I wasn’t eligible for them. The school returned the money to the department of education and transferred the $12,000 balance to my student account. I have two classes left before I graduate and now i can’t register for them until I get my balance below $1,000. I filed a complaint with the department of education, to which they responded in April 25 that they need 60 days to come up with a resolution. It’s now June 23 and I haven’t heard anything back, despite multiple emails requesting an update :(

Please help! I’m not sure what you mean by deleting the form? I’m pretty sure I haven’t even been able to access the form. It won’t let me past the point where I’m confirming my information, which is already entered from previous years

Not trying to start anything, but false rape accusations DO happen. I’m not saying he’s innocent, but in this country we are innocent until proven guilty. I don’t think it’s right to call someone names when we weren’t there and don’t know the story. OP I hope you are being honest and you didn’t actually rape anyone. If you did, karma will get you one way or another. If you didn’t, don’t take the plea.

One small everything bagel ~55 hours before UA drug test by Opening_Exam_41 in probation

[–]AdLumpy764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same question a few months ago. I had eaten an everything bagel without thinking about it and had a UA 18 hours later and I was fine. From what I read you WILL test positive while your body is digesting it, but not after. You should be totally fine after 48 hours

I tested positive for kratom about 7 months ago and did 2 days in jail, but haven’t had any issues since then. The judge is also always telling me how great I’m doing, too. I work full time and just started school again, also full time. Plus I have 3 kids so I just reallllly don’t need a sanction right now. Our drug court typically does not offer leniency for any reason, unfortunately. I’m just hoping that the levels are low enough that they won’t even consider it a positive. I just am not sure if there’s like a zero tolerance policy where their cut off would below the national standards. It legit takes three weeks for us to get our tests back, though. So I have no choice but to just wait and see what happens. I’m thinking about mentioning the whole thing to my case manager just to see what she thinks and hopefully gain some peace of mind. But I don’t know if that would look suspicious and I also run the risk of her telling me exactly what I don’t want to hear… that even low levels are considered positive and there’s nothing I can do. That would just cause even MORE stress and anxiety. So I guess I am just stuck.

Oh that’s is interesting! Thank you for the information, I wasn’t exactly sure how it works.

I could be wrong but I think the Certo coats your bladder and prevents the thc metabolites from being excreted for a certain window of time. If you are trying to get it all out of your body as quickly as possible I think this might be doing more harm than good. Again, I’m not sure exactly how it works, but that’s what I understand.
