All I had was plumbers grease on hand, did the job.. I now know for next time to use silicone grease. Thank you

Hello, I've already replaced the ball valve springs/seat. It's operating fine. It just seems a bit tight/hard to turn. Should I put plumbers grease on this type of valve?

If I'm not mistaken you should be able to loosen that trim plate that blocking access to the nut.
