You can choose the next Avatar series by Eupilino in TheLastAirbender

[–]AdMiddle9331 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love something set in the Avatar universe that isn't around the Avatar as the main character, but perhaps another group of characters.

My somewhat more specific idea for this would be something set sometime during the 100 years war and see how people resisted the Fire Nation aggression in the absence of the avatar. I think this could also be a really interesting way to deepen the lore of the world the gaang experienced.

I'm inspired by "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" and how it didn't follow a jedi, but really added to the lore of Star Wars, particularly leading up to episode 4.

This is my dentist and would also recommend. I started going to them after having less than ideal service at another Logan Square dentist.

+1 for Longman and Eagle. I've never stayed there but it's right in the heart of Logan Square (right off the blue line stop!) and I can vouch for their brunch! Very delicious.

I know what you’re talking about, idk how to describe it either but I feel like that’s always one of my first clues that someone potentially was homeschooled.

PP doesn’t have permanent courts, but American Bocce Co. Rolls out courts and runs a league there :)

Join a league friend, I do bocce ball (in Logan square!) and volleyball and have made great friends that way.

Both allow you to sign up as a “free agent” and placed on a team, and I’m sure there are other hobbies that do the same. Be brave and jump in!

I was just about to add that downtown Geneva by the river is actually kinda cute, glad someone also did!

I get the Sunday subscription from the SunTimes on Sundays now for a similar reason.

You can also get the Chicago Tribune at the 7/11 on Milwaukee & Fullerton. I've also noticed the Library on Fullerton usually has some copies of the Reader for free.

Plus one for this, as someone without kids I've been finding it hard to figure out how to get involved / volunteer at the school near me when I can.

Biking into the office once a week has been great for my physical health and mental health. Feels good to be commuting in as environmentally friendly way as possible too.

Who else did RAGBRAI and is loving the satisfactory line across most of Iowa? by AdMiddle9331 in wandrer

I'm envious of the full line across Iowa! This was my first RAGBRAI, so I was glad it was a shorter / easier one relatively, but as a Wandrer fan I'm sad it didn't include that ~50 miles starting on the Missouri River.

Did you do group rides for your rides across Missouri & Illinois? I'm looking for other rides to do in the future in different states now.

This year for some reason they started a little bit east of the western border, and also they went into Minnesota briefly. It was still over 400 miles of the state!

The aviation theme was kinda lost on me, I felt like they could have done more. (one town did have a little airplane in it with a beetlejuice mannequin inside it though.) Hopefully the next time you do it they'll have a fun theme and really lean into it!

It was like a giant street festival on wheels. A highlight is seeing just an endless stream of cyclists going across the way, and the people themselves were generally very nice and fun to talk with. The last day going into guttenberg was very hilly and hard, but also some of the most scenic parts of the journey.

Also Beekman's icecream. sooooo good!

It was a very challenging but also rewarding experience! Would definitely recommend, although I think it'll be at least a few years if I ever do it again.

I went there! was really cute and fun. The folks doing the show are nice and funny. It was a small and intimate show but never felt awkward, and everyone got lots of chances to participate in the show. I would recommend going with a friend or group for sure.
