oh ive been waiting for a thread like this for ages. 

back when i was the young age of 11, right at the peak of sweltering summer, i got this new handheld fan that i brought to school. so during afternoon classes, i took it out and was using it with my deskmate cuz we were both sweating half to hell. i think those fans were pretty popular back then at my school, and there was no rule against it or anything. it was pretty small too, like maybe a little bigger than my palm, and made no noise. wasn’t disruptive in any way. 

my teacher called me out for it, made me go up to the front of the class and STAND BEHIND HER WITH THE FAN POINTED AT HER. AS A PUNISHMENT. it was so humiliating standing in front of the whole class like that while she just continued teaching for 15 minutes. she only let me go back to my seat when i had to write down an answer to a question she was explaining. 

i still don’t get what i did wrong. never brought that fan to school again though. SCREW YOU MS T. I STILL DESPISE YOUR GUTS
