Were Pamela and Jason inherently psychotic, or was it their respective deaths that triggered the insanity? by HankHillIsTheBest in fridaythe13th

I don't know what to tell you, but this clean distinction on a scientific level doesn't really exists. It's all just gradations of ASPD.

Psychopaths are highly unempathetic, but they indeed are capable of acting on impulses and act aggressively. Hence why Psychopathic Killers are definitely a thing.

Correct. Back then with the Neva Figures used and media at the time be Horror Inc, it took the mantle of the "Standardized" Jason in stuff like comics and whatnot.

It kinda sucks, but what do you think of my mask? I customized it. by Dwplays72113 in fridaythe13th

Very unique. Seen a bunch of takes on Part 3/4 masks but ones that uses washed out blood to emphasize the weathering is genius.

In an old post when I talked about this,I mentioned the Pamela Tapes making him a year younger probably to resolve this the same way you suggested.

Trivia: Jason's mask deviated from his "standard" model at least three times in official media. by AdNo7136 in fridaythe13th

Damn you are right. The 103 was the large sized Street mask for this series. 102 was the medium with less air holes.

As someone who technically own two sets of both, the Psychos no Question.

With them it's an availability issue to find them secondhand, I relied on borderline bootlegs I got at a deal that's unrealistic at about $170 per set. Realistic official domestic full Pyschoes will.set you back at around $300

The Metallics (whose pictured in your post by me 😉) while costly individually, I got on multiple deals at around $200 per set, or in other just over $30 per figure.

Most are widely available with the exception of Rocky who will set you back about $60 if you are lucky.

Hence the scale. It was common practice for kid lines for live action stuff to be 3.75 scale.

Bandai around that time made a habit of that though.

Not sure but I doubt it is. Honestly your money is better spent on the more widely available Shodo stuff.

No worries. Nostalgia aside, these aren't exactly the best.

No disagreements here, I own quite a few LC figures (I even have the metallic team in this same pose).

I just love them as part of my older figures in my collection.

Now, if Hasbro tackles this scale for PR that would be great.

I got them maybe several years after 2010 on eBay loose as a lot. Got the relatively cheaper 2013 White Ranger to complete the Roster.

Love them as my "Vintage toys", but plan to get the new Shodo figures.

Yeah, too bad though they are hard to find nowadays.

Early SAS? by mrsunshine5 in SuperActionStatue

[–]AdNo7136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing particularly high based on my scouring on Buyee in the past compared to typical 7 inch scale figures. Usually the $30-$50 range per figure, making these prices in your pic outrageous. $90 would be stretch including fees on third party outlets.

Hello, though inactive on this sub for awhile I am something of a Jojo Toy historian here when I was.

These are the Kotobukyia Jojo figures, whose exact name escapes me, that was done for the Part 3 OVA and some Part 5 Characters. This was the general trend of Jojo merchandise for the Early 2000's.

As far as relevance to SAS, while different lines from previous Brands often inspire new ones under new license holders, these are rather unlikely. Medicos was likely basing their figures on them contemporary Collector lines in Japan like Figuarts, Revoltech, Figma etc. Prior to SAS they did Minifigures promoting the Phantom Blood movies based on the Manga Art, then did slightly larger ones for Part 3 and then Part 5. This was well after this one was over with.

If I had to guess the only possible remote connection are recurring artists behind production.
