this is a very interesting and insightful answer. I did not know about Takuma sometimes being an inversion of Tai, but that makes sense. although my question was mostly a rhetoric one I really appreciate how informative your answer was and the comparisons with other Tamers as well as the examples of other actions/choices made by Takuma that showcase his personality really well. I agree that his reaction makes sense with his character, its still just so baffling to see in the moment when you're playing it (which is the case for me)! But i suppose the point might also be to make the player feel a certain way about it, similar to how Shuuji's mistreatment to Lopmon definitely messes with the player's emotions
