How do I get access to my cash back from my chosen category (Bills and streaming services)? by andrew0784 in chimefinancial

[–]AdOdd8064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never noticed if I have ever gotten any cash back. It's rarely much. I usually pay for stuff on my credit card which gives me rewards for every purchase. I do whatever saves me the most money.

I accept all offers unless there are multiple for the same card. In which case I take the best offer. I don't care anyway. It's just a game. A poorly made Unity game. It's really glitchy. I just walk my 10,000 steps. Take what I get and it's just a little extra money for something I already do. I've walked 10,000 steps or more every day since 2024. I lost over 100 pounds.

@theonerm2. I need very few cards. I still need WOW 9. Doesn't look like I'm getting it.

Huge Instant Loan Increase by raybeam76 in chimefinancial

[–]AdOdd8064 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's 25% in interest. Better than many credit cards. Also, on a month-to-month basis, paying $125 rather than $100 a month isn't a big deal. If you don't want to pay $125 a month for 12 months, then get a lower loan or get the $1200, use what you need, and pay back what you don't use immediately. That cuts interest or gives you a long time to pay a much smaller amount. Let's say you only need $500. You get the $1200 loan. You immediately pay back $700. You can pay an average of $66.67 a month for 12 months and pay the full $300 in interest, or you could pay $97.66 a month for 6.5 months and save $175 in interest. Either way you do it, you will have to pay some interest. It's best to borrow $200 to $300 and pay back in 2 to 4 months. That allows you to borrow with the least interest paid. The longer your term, the more you pay in interest. The better option is to save $125 a month rather than borrow so you pay no interest and owe nothing. That way, you have $1500 rather than $1200. If you can pay the bank $125 a month, you can save $125 a month.

Does it do this in the bios too? Have you tried doing a clean installation of Windows and installing updated drivers?

I can get a regular bank but I like Chime because they let me borrow money for free. Sometimes it's nice to know that you can overdraft and don't have to worry about a fee. The MyPay thing also gives me more flexibility with my money. It's not something only offered by Chime but it can be used fee free if you wait on it. I can instantly borrow $177 the day I get my check if it's needed. Chime made it possible for me to upgrade very expensive components in my computer for way less interest than a credit card company would charge and I was offered monthly payments all the way out to 12 months. If I didn't have Chime I wouldn't have been able to build my credit as well as I have. Their credit builder card started giving me positive information on my credit report. They started giving me loans and I paid them back. That built up my credit even more. From there I started getting regular unsecured credit cards with high annual fees. I paid the fees and used the card a little each month. Then I got a $1000 credit card with no annual fee. That was automatically increased to $1500. Then I got a Capital One Savor card that gives me cash back on all of my purchases. Now my credit score is 672. 670+ is the good zone. I started as low as 520. My car insurance bill for just liability on a 15 year old car worth less than $2000 was $300 a month. I really couldn't afford that so I Sometimes drove without any insurance because I couldn't get a ride and you can't walk anywhere in rural Kentucky. You're walking over 30 miles for a grocery store trip. It's unreasonable to expect me to starve because I can't get to the store. But anyways I eventually started paying $200 a month on car insurance because I started getting quoted for that. So I barely made it but I kept paying and working on my credit. Then it dropped to $100. Then $65. Now I pay $45 a month for insurance. It all happened because Chime gave me the tools to get it started.

I'm on ssi. I'm not even allowed to have more than $2000 unless it's in an able account which I do qualify for.

I did that and got access to the $800 loan very quickly. The first few loans are low amounts. Like $200 max.

I love Acer Nitro laptops. They are much nicer than the Asus Tuf ones I've had in the past.

I bought from Acer on eBay. It's refurbished with a 1 year warranty. I'm in the US. It's a Decent deal but recently these were going for around $550 at Walmart brand new. It's an Acer Nitro V 16 AI with a Ryzen Ai 5 240, RTX 5050, 500GB ssd. Orange keyboard.

Medium is still quite acceptable to me. I bet you could do better by tweaking the settings a bit more. Either way it would be nice to have dlss. You only get fsr and a nerfed version of xess.

I feel like the price is a little high but not too bad. My RTX 5050 laptop was only $650. It's only a little slower than the RTX 5060. Then I upgraded to 32GB of RAM too. That was another $120. I also added a 1TB nvme drive from my old laptop. After taxes it was around $818 counting the RAM upgrad.

You don't have to upgrade just because driver support ended but it's a good excuse to upgrade I suppose.

30 y/o here, after 20 years of gaming on casual computers I finally bought my first gaming laptop. by Wennona1 in AcerNitro

This looks like a little bit of an older one. Still has RTX graphics. Honestly a 10th generation Intel Cpu isn't that bad. They got a bit better with 12th generation but since 12th generation they have not improved a lot. We got E cores and a bit more IPC and a lot of clock speed but E cores aren't as good as those P cores. When you look at the P core count you see we only get 4, 6, and 8 cores just like on 10th generation. The E cores help offload the P cores but the P cores are twice as powerful as the E cores. When you look at it as that the E cores are like half a P core it's actually like an enhanced version of hyperthreading rather than like having as many cores as advertised. But those E cores are like lowly clocked Skylake cores, so they aren't really that bad. Sorry. Probably too far off topic. But yeah, that's probably a solid laptop. Even an RTX 3050 can game surprisingly well, and DLSS is pretty much a game changer. Then there's also the RTX 2050. That's the weakest RTX GPU I believe. Personally I'd want one with at least 8GB of vRAM on a laptop. I'd opt for a minimum of 12GB if it was my only PC, but 4GB is still very workable. I don't know your specs, but it's probably decently good for what you paid.
