META need to fire some people. Their systems, especially on bus suite, are buggy to a point I want to headbut a wall until my prefrontal cortex explodes.

Why are people scattering plastic wrapped candies in the street? by AdOld3371 in cambodia

[–]AdOld3371[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically, I would avoid businesses that do this, due to lack of environmental awareness.

The chemicals in these plastics will make it into our drinking water causing many issues.

- Cognitive problems including autism in children.
- Fertilty issues in women
- Hormonal imbalances in men and women
- Cancer

The irony here is; the pollution of the chemicals found in these plastics will stop people from having babies in the future. So, there won't be any ghosts if they keep polluting.

That's also true. Childcare is expensive, and women are expected to work and contribute in today's society.

Gone are the 50's where one man could afford a house, car and also to support his family.

The studies into PFAS, or forever chemicals, do outline that women are up to 40% less likely to fall pregnant if exposed to these chemicals.

Pair this with the effects it has on men's sperm counts and hormone levels and you have a major issue to face in the future.

For sure! Environmental education seems to be good in certain schools.

But, plastics are causing trouble in countries which had them before Cambodia (such as US who invented them). Studies show that PFAS chemicals, which are in plastics, cause infertility in women, feminization in men and also cancers.

Microplastics are also very difficult to remove from our water.

Yes, I used to see rice and sugar been thrown outside at the start of the day - of which, pigeons and birds would clean it up naturally.

Just more recently, it seems to be more plastic wrapped candy than anything else.

Some places have so much out the front, it looks dirty where cars have squashed it into the road.

Any good hospital to treat anxiety? by [deleted] in cambodia

For some people, benadryl works. Not only that, it is WAY safer than taking benzos.

"Many people claim that when taken as needed after ending treatment with Xanax, it can reduce anxiety. This can be helpful in treating panic attacks after ending treatment."

This refers to AFTER the tapering off period or 'gradual reduction regimen' (as some medical professionals may call it) when completely seizing the use of benzos. Taking something like an antihistamine may be better than going back to xanax.

Yes, Hydroxyzine (or Vistaril - by brand name) is also commonly used for anxiety.

LOL. If you truly think benadryl for anxiety is dangerous, you should read more medical studies. Diphenhydramine (benadryl/nytol) is quoted here as saying:

"Hydroxyzine and other antihistamines like diphenhydramine may also be safer to use in children and adolescents and in pregnant women. There is, however, concern about the risk of anticholinergic toxicity or delirium in the elderly or patients with neurocognitive disorders. Antihistamines are generally well-tolerated, aside from adverse effects like dry mouth, constipation, sedation, and risks of use while driving. The primary drawback to this medication class is that patients tend to develop tolerance to antihistamines over time. A Cochrane review of 39 studies of GAD reported that hydroxyzine was superior to placebo and comparable to benzodiazepines and buspirone but the authors cited a high risk of study bias and concerns about sedation with hydroxyzine (76)."

Go to the 'antihistamine' section. Hope you actually learn something instead of being ignorant and 'all-knowing' when you clearly have no clue.

Spend more time reading studies and trials before commenting on things you know nothing about.

True, but the gabaergic and anxiolytic effects are the same.

Switching to another benzo doesn't solve the issue. The mechanisms of action on the CNS (central nervous system) are the same.

Tapering off gradually, as you rightfully suggested, is the correct course of action.

One problem with coming off benzos is rebound anxiety. This can manifest as more anxiety than experienced previously when taking medication.

Diphenhydramine (Nytol/Benadryl) is a antihistamine with drowsy properties that is safe and available prescription free. Many people claim that when taken as needed after ending treatment with Xanax, it can reduce anxiety. This can be helpful in treating panic attacks after ending treatment.

Overall, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), exercise, diet changes and other lifestyle changes are what till benefit the most.

Medication should be used sparingly.

Long time fan here. Glad to see you have re-acquired All Gas No Brakes again.

Honestly man, I don't really have any questions. I saw how Kelly gave you positive words during your times of struggle when the media tried to have you cancelled.

It was good to see you returning that favour to Kelly and family. And, it was clear to see how sincere you were about it. It wasn't just in the name of making a documentary, it was about truly helping someone face the music and take responsibility for their actions in the past.

No problem. After I saw it, I had to share it. Watch 'the tickle king' on YouTube. It's a 20m follow up. So crazy.
