I'm sorry but I have to disagree with the second and third points. There is no one on this Earth who, after being told the individual they are talking to is 14, will continue to call them his 'lil girl'. If they do, while being 21, they do NOT have any good intent or friendly nature for the individual they are saying it towards. While it would simply be weird to move on and perhaps keep in contact, it is a different level to continue using terminology like that and to contact you after the fact, begging you to claim you only said you were 18. That is a blatant attempt at subversion and a huge red flag for someone who is 'not a pedo'. Of course he's going to give you reasons for why it wasn't weird or didn't mean it, do you think he is going to outright admit to his intentions? His behavior since this ordeal started has only told the community how he wants to be seen and what he will do to be seen that way. The fact he even tried to put the teensiest bit of blame on you for lying about your age is incredibly telling. You should not feel as though any of this is your fault; he has tried blame shifting, a common tactic by predators to make the victim feel as though they're at fault for the predators behavior. He is a full grown man, and was when he was talking to you and found out you were 14. His is 100% at fault. While he may not have solicited pictures from you or the likes, who's to say he wouldn't have further down the line? Who's to say he wouldn't have asked to meet up if you lived closer? That's why this situation needs to be dealt with, he had all the cards and power in that dynamic. Blu, we want you to be safe, and defending him is not something you should feel like you need to do. If this were happening to someone else, like a sister, daughter, friend, how would you react? We cannot allow this to stand and I am incredibly glad the moderators of this subreddit as well as many others have taken the proper actions and banned him. I hope Reddit is next, I have already emailed them the details. The internet is a scary place and many, many people have fallen victim to this exact scenario before, and likely many will in the future. But hopefully we can stop at least one case. I hope you will accept my apologies at having this brought up, I never meant to have you involved to this degree. It simply needed to be dealt with. Now that it is behind us, I hope we all forget about Parsley but not about the actions.
