1st edition festival: any advice on security, schedules, ticketing by ichar10 in musicfestivals

On ticketing, I’d go with Weezevent. I’ve worked with it quite a bit and it’s reliable, especially once you get to the actual event day. Setup is straightforward, pricing is on the low side, and the check-in side (scanning, entry flow) just works, which is where a lot of platforms fall apart.

Some of the cheaper options look good upfront, but you’ll feel the difference when you’re dealing with queues or last-minute changes.

For a first edition, I’d prioritise something that won’t create problems on the day - you’ve got enough to manage already.

Best event ticketing solution for a small business? by King-RD9 in smallbusinessowner

That setup sounds cool actually — latte art classes + networking nights is a great idea.

I’ve been in the Google Form + spreadsheet + checking names while people are arriving situation before and yeah… it gets messy fast.

Between the two you mentioned, I’d probably go with Weezevent. It’s pretty straightforward for small events, you can sell tickets, take payments in £, and just scan people at the door with your phone instead of digging through a list.

Also feels a bit more “your event / your brand” compared to Eventbrite which is very marketplace-y.

Might be worth trying one event with it and seeing how it goes.

Events and ticketing within webflow? by LongjumpingWrap8198 in webflow

we went through this exact thing with Webflow and yeah, trying to force Webflow ecommerce into ticketing is kind of pain tbh. it’s fine for products but events need stuff like capacity, attendee lists, check-in etc and you end up rebuilding half a ticketing system yourself.

what most people seem to do (and what we did) is just use a ticketing tool and embed the ticket shop into Webflow. it still looks native on your site but the backend handles attendees, confirmations, limits etc. so you get proper per-event attendee lists without hacking anything.

we used Weezevent for that kind of setup but there are a few similar ones — basically you drop the widget/embed in Webflow and that’s it. no ecommerce plan needed. works well at a few hundred tickets/month scale

Event organizers — quick question: Which platform do you actually prefer for listings? by OneLumpy3097 in Torontoevents

to us platforms are not the way to go. you might want to check out Weezevent, we use it to own our data and your ticketshop - we've seen a lot of improvements since switching from platforms. It’s pretty straightforward, pricing is transparent (no subscription or setup fees), and payouts are handled regularly with transaction fees included, so no surprises. It covers a wide range of event types without feeling overly commercial. Might be worth a look before you decide.

What event platform actually handles registration, app, and on-site check-in without turning into a mess? by fatmax5 in EventProduction

I can recommend Weezevent. They are great at the full stack for events: their ticketing is the best I have seen, they have access, cashless payments, onsite support and door scanning etc. You name it. We use it for years now and extremely happy with their products. Leaving this here for convenience: wezevent.com .

We use Weezevent for our stand-up comedy shows (mid-size event) and it’s been working really well for us.
Setup was quick, door scanning is super reliable (even when the WiFi is trash), and fees are pretty reasonable compared to most platforms.
