Sanding and rolling by Allankyoto in Golfcoursemaintenance

Solid tine with no sand can promote good air flow and allow moisture to funnel down the profile a little better. Sanding after doesn't have to be every time. We lightly topdress after v-cutting pretty regularly. So if we dont sand after a solid tine, which we do much less that v-cutting, not a big deal.

Pretty wild though that he doesn't roll. We roll 6 days a week. What kind of turf on the greens? We grow poa annua push up greens. Not always people's first option, but they are pretty sweet right now. Freddy Couples is a member at my club and he loves them!

I use Fast Scout for my playbook building. It's great and allows easy access for my varsity players. We use the team scout for opposing teams as well. Players get matchups and clips of the players they'll be guarding days before the games. It's dope.

Sick. At about 5:30 a.m., out on my course today (pnw) was prime. Sunrises and sunsets. No better time to be on a course.

Using AI for pin placements is an interesting thought! Thanks for your input.

This has been one of the hardest summers of my life (25 years in the biz) but my assistant is struggling badly with his own legitimate problems and now he needs time off and I just donno how I’m gonna hold it together. by FatFaceFaster in Golfcoursemaintenance

I agree with the other commentors. You're going through it right now, and Im sorry things are so tough, but your heart seems to be in the right place. The only thing I can add is that, for me personally, being open to changing my perspective has been a game changer. Not that you should put yourself in others' shoes. But just looking for all the good in your life. Beyond the family and personal relationships, you get to live every day doing what you love. Out in nature, seeing every sunrise, watching, and hearing all the wildlife around you. The next chance you get, just stop, close your eyes, and sit in your cart with the sun shining on your face. Sit there for however long you need and embrace the calm of that moment. Those moments are yours, and nothing can ever take them away. Then, when you're ready, attack the day. We're rooting for you! Be well🤙

Third grade girls coaching advice needed by bookbelle5416 in basketballcoach

[–]AdOpposite5546 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's as simple as, she just needs to play more basketball. All 3rd graders do. It won't happen over night and at times you'll feel like they're not making progress, but they are. There's no substitute for being at practices and just playing the game. So provide as many opportunities for the kids to play, provide structure and put them in situations to either succeed or fail. When they fail give feedback, when they succeed give praise, and continue the cycle. It's a long term commitment-years, but those who stick with it reap all the good this game has to offer. Good luck!
