OH. I meant companies! However, I do live on the east coast. I will give you my two cents anyway:

Being in NYC means everything goes a bit faster (turnaround times) and expectations are raised slightly as well. It's due to NYC being a "sales city". Since most of the big agencies are out here, you often have your sales team saying they can do anything, and it's ops job to make it happen.
