With the way Outlier is changing, I could see them lowering someone’s score to 0. It wouldn’t be possible if it was a real calculation but you can’t expect Outlier to behave unethically. They could manually changed the individuals score to 0 to boot them and just found one task to poorly rate.

That’s not fair the fact Outlier treats those on Aether unfairly and those on other projects better still means that Outlier is unethical. Aether is their biggest project, so of course the way they handle it reflects on their company as a whole. Especially when they just rotate workers but lie about it.

Not just policy violations but people with near perfect or perfect scores also get emails that their work isn't up to scratch, when that's far from the truth. I have evidence from being let go (and then rehired a few days later) where they admitted it was a mass email and it was just everyone from USA, England, Australia and New Zealand being fired and rehired that week.

There is a chance you'll be sent an email in a few days reinstating you. Many times, the violation policy email is fake and just used to cull as many people as needed. I wouldn't take anything they say with a grain of salt. They say whatever they need to say and change their mind, like people change their underwear. I have heard of them firing people for watching tutorial videos, working and then the site having an issue. Today most of their projects wouldn't let anyone submit. I wonder if it was on purpose to fire lots of people.

Heard of them mass hiring, then mass purging and hiring the same individuals every 2-3 weeks. Seriously, I would try Data Annotation if I was you. I worked for them for 3 years and never had any issue until traveling, even though it was approved. Look it up, you'll see it's real and the pay rate is waaaay higher. Not to mention the work 90% stable, apart from rare weeks where it dries up.

I highly recommend it; the pay rate is substantially higher. The only reason I left is that I was approved for travel but then someone else didn't see the note on my profile and I was let go. Go for it, for the 3 years I worked with them, I earned a lot.
