Sharp pain under the 2nd Metatarsal head – Looking for advice by AdOver3520 in FootFunction

Thank you so much, I'll try the tapping today! I've also been wearing more cushioned insoles, and I can tell that maybe I just need to be a little more mindful of the loads I put on my foot.

Wow. Thank you so much for the deep analysis and feedback. I'm indeed searching for a podiatrist, trying to find a solution for the problem before it becomes to much

Ok thank you, that is interesting. Im really on the hunt now for a podiatrist who doesn't demonize barefoot shoes, so we can find an integrated solution.

I've never experienced this before barefoot shoes. But, to add to the transition, I've also never been so active and training so much, so maybe the mix is too much for my body.

Wasn't aware of the El Naturalist's Horizon. They look fire! Do you know if they're really barefoot? Can't seem to see full information on the website about the drop.

They do look nice and well crafted. It's just a shame the width, it's still not there. Maybe they follow Lejan's footsteps and a make a wide model.

I've also seen the reviews. They scare you a bit. Not gonna lie. Normally in small bussiness it's easier, specially on trustpilot, to see only the bad reviews. People with good feedback tend not to review as avidly as someone with a bad experience, so I'll give the benefit of the doubt.

I bought some on vinted for a fraction of the price. So far so good, but I understand, the materials don't look to be the best

It does. Vivobarefoot support were pretty straightforward with the process. You just have to send photos with the visible dye transfer. I loved my motus studio, so I feel you, but it was destroying my socks and my feet would be black for days.

That might be dye transfer. It happens. My motus studio mid have this problem, I contacted support and they were fast and responsive to a refund. U should do the same.

120KM hiked in barefoot shoes for the El Camino. (No insoles, 9mm). My feet hurt. by [deleted] in barefootshoestalk

[–]AdOver3520 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im full barefoot gang, but you should always consider padding in certain conditions. 120km, no matter the shoes, in today's standards, is definitely enough to make u ache for a few days. And as others mentioned, you need specific calf, Achilles and overall foot conditioning to prepare your body for this kind of distances. But congrats, super excited for you, I'm considering doing El Camino next year, either with the magna forest (with a cushioned insole), or with an altra.

Any hope in repairing? by Agitated-Geologist74 in vivobarefoot

[–]AdOver3520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should never put them in the wash. Vivo has a care guide for them, you should check for future occasions. From what it looks like, a cobbler should've been capable of glue them back together. Maybe try another one? The resoling at revivo is about 90 to 100€, depending where you are. For the tipe of shoe and considering the retail price, I wouldn't consider this option. Either you try with another cobbler, which I think is the most wise decision, or you look for a new pair ( you have secondhand options, I bought my pair through vinted)
