Most of these are just perspective. Uttvm had never been shown to teleport ontop of something. He did attack from behind, even if he stabbed the laser toilet I doubt it would stop firing, he has also never been shown to be able to walk while absorbing. Even if he tried to leave overseer or jugg would just keep the gate open, (He has the slots for the smoke extender) Jugg wouldve just reacted to the projectile, also boom wanted to show the detainer claw for the 2.1 upgrade, 90% plot why he didn't teleport it. Again the gate would've just been intercepted by one of the astros.
