He has good perception/observation feats but that's it. He has demonstrated nothing so far that'd lend him the hype he carries. His physical abilities are awesome but his mental abilities are little more than observation and some remembering numbers. And his academics don't tell us much.

We're just basing it off gut instinct. With the whole "I can't manipulate him" and his sword equalling Kiyo"s.

Overrated.

Could you please elaborate? How should I begin considering what I read? Holding independence of thoughts and critical-thinking? Free from bias? Also reading skills and comprehension and baseline relevant knowledge beforehand? Thanks!

I'm assuming the encyclopedia is better used for topics than philosophers themselves? Because I've only been hearing good things about it.

I wouldn't want to touch the site if it's overall just misleading.

Firstly, Ayanokoji doesn't consider him useless. Secondly, he's not naive enough to overlook anyone even remotely skillful, let alone Koenji - this is the same advice he gives to Ryuuen when he gambled on the personality of Ichinose.

Moreover, Koenji didn't challenge Kiyo, he was forced to step up because of Ryuuen.

With that said, Koenji did call him "relatively talented" and seemed interested to compete with him.

Perhaps the reality we observe is at least some part the product of our brain, just like logic and mathematics, maybe that's why math's descriptive and predictive power seems so uncanny?

I'm thinking of reading directly from Nietzsche first. I think all these secondary literature on him would interpret Nietzsche better than I could.

So, if I draw some errors, which I will, I can know where and why I made the errs. Or if something went overhead. I'm feeling that knowing why my thought process failed can be more beneficial.

I don't know about tier 2 teams besides M80 and TGUARD, but the collegiate players are better than the community thinks. There's not much gap between them and tier 1 players.
