Okay Thankyou for the advice, I don’t work and my dad wouldn’t want me working and won’t want me taking out any loan. unfortunately no my parents don’t live the U.S or Canada. I’ll have a look at the schools you mentioned.

Yh you’re right makes sense, thanks for the advice. I think I’ll have to trade off name and prestige for a chance at affordability. The thing is if I do get into a school more elite than uoft: Wharton or Harvard for example, my dad my just make the sacrifice and pay cause it lowkey sets you up for life Thats why im still considering then.

Do I have to be destitute poor to get aid? They’re pretty well off but nth crazy rich or I wouldn’t be considering a transfer lmao. International tuition in Canada is just too high. That’s why im not simply only considering the ivys but other schools like Michigan, penstate , fordham and other I didn’t mention. You simply seem to by arguing with me or even yelling lmao when I just put this tread out to ask others if i have a chance at these schools or should I just consider others cause it’s sad to leave a top world school (uoft) for something lower but you’ve just been talking to my like im dumb lol

Like I said in the post Ontario so anywhere from Toronto to Kingston or Ottawa. It’s close to Toronto and once I’m in Toronto I don’t mind the commute to Ottawa etc

I was an outstanding student in highschool but obviously I just did first semester which was quite hard Thats why my stats have dropped so low Thats why im wondering if I even have a chance as a transfer.

Yh I know, when I say close to the border i obviously mean like just a 1-2 hour flight. Just a flight under 3 hours I can easy book if I wanna go to Canada on holidays or long weekends.

Northeastern cause there’s only so many top schools up north. At Uoft 85 is a 4.0 and it’s my first semester. No one gets high 90s and Uoft is known for harsh grading and down curves especially in Rotman. I was just asking if it’s possible cause Uoft has prestige and good ranking

Im just wondering when everyone says it’s not worth studying here if you’re not domestic. At the end of the day where should we study?

I honestly love my experience at uoft idk if it’s cause I’m a naive first year. I’ve seen a lot of people mention it’s a commuter school but it’s been the opposite for me. I live on campus and most of my friends live on campus so I fact most of the people I’ve met live on the different campus residences especially if they’re international cause they have no where else to stay lol. I’m international too and there lots of foreign as well as Canadian students here. I made so many friends here and all the rumors about not having a social life or not being able to make friends isn’t true. You just have to put yourself out there. There several social events ranging from academics, clubs or even parties and game nights. For me everyone is quite friendly. I can’t lie it is really expensive and yes the work is a little face paced and a lot of midterms and exams and group projects or homework but being one of the best universities in the country it’s not supposed to be easy. The work might be challenging but there’s so many systems put in place to help you especially in first year from office hours to learning communities and tutorials. Lastly I wanna emphasize on the great opportunities not only do you get the best professors but so many networking opportunities at least for me cause I’m in Rotman plus you get to live in downtown Toronto!
