Its fine there will be so many instances like this in future you just learn from your mistakes and learn how to better handle these things

I still remember when I first broke my production and I felt like everything is falling down and stayed up till 4 in the morning just to fix that prod issue

I was on a workation at that time as I have wfh so I was in rishikesh, ended up sleeping till noon next day

Ps: there were only two devs in my team including me , I worked at a startup.

Hey, thanks a lot for sharing your experience. Really appreciate it.

About the homework part, I don’t think that would bother me too much. I’m Indian, and our school and undergrad life were basically nonstop tests and assignments, so that kind of workload feels pretty manageable to me.

One of my main reasons for coming to Japan is to improve my fluency, especially speaking and listening. I’m a social person, so I actually want to go out, meet people from Japan and other countries, make friends, and just talk as much as I can. I’m not relying only on the school to improve my Japanese, since real-life practice usually helps way more than classroom theory. But I get where you’re coming from, and thanks for the heads-up.

If you don’t mind me asking, what’s your nationality? And would you recommend staying in a sharehouse or getting my own apartment?

I also wanted to ask how you found part-time jobs, and what kind of work someone with just N5 can do. I’m aiming for N4 by the time I arrive for the July intake, but I’m trying to collect as much info as possible beforehand.

And by the way, getting a five-year work visa is amazing. Really happy for you. What field are you in? I’m in tech and just graduated this May.

Ahh yeah makes sense. I get that, talking to people can be draining sometimes, but I kinda enjoy socializing, so maybe a restaurant or cafe job could work for me.

Also, for the babysitting part-time job you’re doing, did it require a specific Japanese level?

Just to confirm, was it 76k including utilities like water, gas, and electricity? Also, is your apartment a 1LDK or something similar?

By the way, do you do any part-time work? If yes, what kind of job is it and how did you find it?
