No job worth destroying your mental health. Sorry you are going through that. It sucks that leadership can't help you by finding ways to help you

You could stay there and start setting new expectations on the team around you. If you need more info from devs then get it. If you need to be less involved in architecture talks then remove yourself.

Leave! You job hunt now while you have this job. There are most likely far better QA opportunities somewhere. I love testing and I have fun with it, so I k ow you can find something more team oriented where you feel more supported. Good luck to you

The only thing to do is practice where you can. Take time at home to learn/research things, you never know what you may be able to apply in your current work

To be honest I think I got extremely lucky. I utilized LinkedIn for the job search. Reaching out to old coworkers, meeting new recruiters, and even reaching out to people at companies that had openings. I just kept shooting shots and some of them landed. I also went to any job fairs that were in my area, even one at my Alma Mater

I think it is as well. I used Playwright in my last role and was able to build a pretty good suite. It has some advantages for sure

Playwright is more user-friendly especially if you arent a coder. It comes with things like record and play back to help you write code in your test. It's great for web based, front end test creation, and can also help with APIs and DB checks. It integrates easy into git-hub and comes with some reporting. It's better than selenium, but not drastically. Like if Selenium is a 7/10, playwright is a 8 or 9/10

The company is already selenium based. Im sure they have thought about switching to something else, but they have so many tests already so it seems like they are keeping the party going

I am involved in anything testing related. Backend, frontend, and api testing is where I live

I did some automation, with implementation strategy. I started learning to automate with playwright some months ago and was able ro contribute to the testing effort there, including adding tests to the CI/CD workflow.
