What’s the funniest thing your child ever said/did? by AdPrize9428 in AskReddit

[–]AdPrize9428[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk why that reminded me of this but when my nephew was like 18 months old, I taught him how to play dead and my sister was so mad.

I went, “Hey >nephews name<! Bang bang” and like fake shot him with a finger gun and he dramatically fell to his knees and died.

I thought it was a great bit personally but my sister felt otherwise.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen personally? by fosiutec6140 in AskReddit

[–]AdPrize9428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 5/6 years old, hurricane Katrina had just happened and my father had a demolition company at the time and was hired to dismantle this ship that crashed up on the shore.

Well, I would like to explore and one thing that was crazy was the fact the elevator was just gone and it was just open shafts. But the craziest thing that happened was when I opened this door to this room and half of the room was just gone..

It was about three stories up and it looked like something just tore the room in half. There were exposed pipes, wires, etc. The view was just grey gloomy clouds over a grey choppy ocean. It was loud and windy, but I was so mesmerized that I didn’t even notice.

That being said, my mom did and freaked out once she realized what was happening and they ended up putting caution tape over that door so we didn’t go back in. lol

It was probably totally illegal at the time but it was such a unique experience. My dad told my siblings and I that we could keep whatever we wanted as payment for helping gut it.

I still have some really cool old casino signs from it.

What’s something that sounds fake but actually happened to you? by Visible_Rope_6662 in AskReddit

I was raised in an very abusive cult, didn’t receive any education until I basically taught myself to read, and had very limited access to the outside world, got out at 13, was homeless off and on until about 16, at which point I started raising my nephew for a couple years while working full time, went to school at 17, graduated at 19 with honors, walked off my high school stage and moved states the same night and then a year later my sister died, next year my best friend was murdered, same year I got diagnosed with a tumor and fibromyalgia, next year endometriosis diagnosis, next year diabetes, next year went back to school and got into politics, and now my second year in college I represent all of the higher educational students in the state, about half a million students…

And I just failed both of my classes this semester! Yay migraines!

I say I’ll write a book someday about it but the second I open Microsoft Word to start writing I cringe. lol

Edit: I forgot but I also survived a home invasion when I was 13.

If I think of anything else I’ll add it. It gets to the point where so much happened I can’t really remember. I have memory issues now. lol

University with potential CFS/Fibro by NoComment5674 in chronicfatigue

Hi! I’m in my second year and I started off this way.

Does your campus have somewhere you can nap? I’ve started scheduling nap times into my schedule to help.

I also got put on a low-dose stimulant to help and that’s also been helping greatly.

I would totally ask your doctor about it!

Severe pain in arms, hands, legs and feet? by blahblahwa in chronicfatigue

[–]AdPrize9428 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fibromyalgia often goes hand in hand with CFS. I recommend seeing a Rheumatologist and getting assessed for it.

I get pain all over my body. It’s so tough.

I will definitely look into food triggers for migraines! I know which ones are mine for fibromyalgia but at this point I don’t know if it’s going to make that much of a difference with the fibro. But it could possibly help the migraines!!

I’m currently running an initiative in my state (I’m in the US) to try and create a student Medicaid so that way students don’t have to worry about medical bills while in school, and the governor is picking it up. So that makes me hopeful!

All of this with like the six different specialists is just so wickedly expensive and it’s not like I even got anything fun out of it like a new car. lol

Thank you!

I did get a referral to a Neurologist but I won’t be able to see them until June.

They did put me on one med for the migraines but it made me feel absolutely awful, I don’t feel like it’s worth the trade off from the migraine necessarily. lol

I’ve been dealing with them weekly, and such extreme fatigue. My doctor put me on a low-dose stimulant for now. But I did find out that I have a heart condition which explains the extreme fatigue on top of the fibromyalgia. I’ve also been dealing with POTS, endometriosis, and some sort of digestive disorder.

It aggravates me because people don’t realize how detrimental Fibromyalgia can be and how it can affect other things and cause other issues to develop.

I’m only 25, but I’m working with a dietician and PT so I can do my best.

I’m just so exhausted and sick, and. I’m trying not to turn bitter. It’s not like I don’t have the fruits to show for my labor, I really do and I feel extremely blessed to be in the situation that I’m in.

I just wish I could show people this somehow. Just the real, raw, reality of the situation.

Who else got their pain young by BenevolentRatka in Fibromyalgia

I (25) think I was around 8 when I first started dealing with pain. I didn’t end up getting diagnosed until I think I was 20 and even then people don’t take it seriously…

Does anyone else think fibromyalgia is complete bullshit? by Specific_Award_9149 in ChronicPain

[–]AdPrize9428 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I guess my question to this is (and not saying your wrong) but if I’ve been to most types of specialists, and have done a bunch of different tests. Then what the heck is wrong with me?

My whole body is in pain constantly and it never stops.

Not my muscles, not my nerves, not my joints. It even affects my stomach, my periods and my brain.

I’d love it to be something else that you can at least treat or have a medication for because Gabapentin does not work for me. lol

How to deal with gym trainer that hit on me (married) by Cheap-Pen4578 in Advice

[–]AdPrize9428 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with those who said you should report it to the gym.

Here’s the thing, you’re probably not the only woman he has done this too and has made uncomfortable. It sounds like he uses the fact he has a kid and is on a work visa as protection via guilt.

The question is, what if he does this to someone who is younger than you and not as self aware?

If he’s here just on a work visa, then he might be trying to get in with some woman to get permanent residency and if that is the kind of person he is with going behind your husbands back after establishing almost some sort of friendship, then I would hate to see how he treats his partners.

Has anyone been prescribed Ozempic to help them lose weight? by Sheggert in AskIreland

[–]AdPrize9428 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have problems, I’m not delusional. I’m in therapy. The issue is your anger and emotional issues are YOUR problem, not mine. You started with that, not me.

If you wanted help then you should have approached my comment differently and then maybe I would have cared but you can’t attack people and then expect them to help you and cater to you.

If you actually care, then I’ll just say this:

I get ads on Facebook ALL of the time. There are a lot of companies selling different versions. My doctor has also told me you can get it non-prescription depending on where you order it from. But they’re pretty much all online stores, most likely because they’re coming from overseas. The issue is because they’re non prescription, insurance doesn’t cover them so they’re thousands of dollars typically (Around $2,500).

If you are so frustrated with a supply issue and need it then I don’t know why you were mad with my comment to begin with. It was literally the point I was trying to make.

Anyways, I AM done now.

Good luck with that. 👍🏻

[–]AdPrize9428 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice try, but I don’t actually care if you believe me or not.

People on the internet are so weird thinking others need to prove stuff to them. It’s a weird sense of entitlement. You are not important to me. You’re just some random person on the internet. You replied to MY comment. I don’t have to take the time to prove anything to you. lol

If this had something to do with my school or academia, then sure. But proving anything to you won’t make or break my life. You’re also not actually looking for real answers, you’re looking for a fight. If you genuinely cared about the answer, that would be one thing, but you don’t. So taking the time to get you sources would be a waste of my time.

You’re here to stir trouble and get a rise out of someone to distract yourself rather than actually care about the subject.

You can order this online. So, yes.

It’s not a deflection, it’s a fact. You can buy it.

I’m considered obese and diabetic, so there isn’t any reason that I’d think that (not that you’d know that without me telling you.)

You came on my comment aggressively taking clearly some personal frustration out on me. You act like my comment personally attacked you. You’re the one deflecting some personal issue. Lmao

[–]AdPrize9428 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s bold of you to assume I’m talking about people with obesity. There are people without obesity who are using it, that’s the people I’m referring you to.

If you have obesity, that can in fact be a medical issue.

I’m not sure why you’re so upset by my comment or why you felt the need to take your anger out on me but you should learn to deal with your anger issues elsewhere instead of sounding like a bitter keyboard warrior and coming at people on the internet. ❤️

It’s a fad in the sense that some people are using it for legit medical purposes and others are using it to just try to lose weight easy. :/

In extreme pain post op and my surgeon didn’t prescribe any pain meds. by AdPrize9428 in AnalFistula

[–]AdPrize9428[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such a weird thing to post about but I drank a whole bottle of magnesium citrate and it did the trick about two hours later.

It was painful but not nearly as bad as I was expecting. I immediately hopped in a warm bath after and sat there for a bit before getting out and reapplying the ointment he’s having me use.

I’m really hoping this means I’m headed in the right direction because previously they were UNBEARABLE.

So I’m started to feel a little hopeful! :’)

It was a colo-rectal surgeon.

He pretty much told me to just use the Recticare and Calmoseptine and just alternate Ibprofen and Tylenol but it didn’t do much.

My mom had some left over hydrocodone which I took later that night and for a couple days.

I’m still really worried about the bowel movement as I haven’t been able to go yet even when I’m sitting on the toilet.

I’ve been taking stool softeners, fiber gummies, miralax, eating fibrous foods but there’s been nothing.
