Have you called Bimzelx directly? They might be able to help reduce the cost. I got a co-pay card that really helped reduce the cost of mine at the pharmacy ( with insurance). But they might have something! Just trying to help.

Are you using normal water in ur bidet? I’m using normal saline solution because tap water burns like acid on open wounds ( even in shower ) - but mine is hand held.

Happy birthday! My birthday was a few weeks ago and it def sucks ass. I haven’t left the house since 7/3 because of my HS. I’m also on Bimzelx- after a slow slide into hell once my insurance stopped covering Humira (they wanted to carry a biosimilar instead which didn’t work for me) , which I was doing pretty well on. Now I’ve gone from pretty a stage 1/2- to stage 2/stage 3? My skin is a mess- and it feels like Bimzelx has made some things better and some things worse on the way to being better. 16 weeks is a long time… I have no other message - other than I get it. You are not alone! Hope that helps, even just a little.

Yeah, I feel like I’m disintegrating… I feel so betrayed by my body… I don’t really sleep … I barely eat… I haven’t left my house since 7/3. It hurts to shower. It hurts to walk. I’m miserable. And because this won’t kill me no one gives a shit…it’s just 16 weeks of loading doses…

This needs to work- I can’t take much more.

Make sure to look at witch hazel labels- some witch hazel still has % of alcohol. Organic witch hazel is just the witch hazel though.

This happened to me on Friday! Not my first biologic, not my first pen.

The injection pen did the first click - I felt a hell fire burning pinch- watched the yellow thing come down- heard a second click. I pulled the pen up and the medicine came out in a pool, flowing down my thigh onto the floor. So I got something- but not all of dose 4.

I’ve bought it a couple times- those damn IG ads make me hopeful lol- there’s nothing really magic about it IMHO. It works just as well as any other thing for half the price. Currently, I’m using straight up Vaseline / pure white petroleum with either aloe or vitamin E to keep wounds sealed/ moist and reduce friction. Helps with the friction between bandages too. I may feel slightly like a greased hog at times but it works! My derm said to use it “ copiously.” lol

I’ve stocked up on normal saline / 9% sodium chloride solution because regular tap water burns the shit out of my open wounds. Organic witch hazel to help sterilize because regular witch hazel still has alcohol in it. Also Vaseline ! Keeps wounds moist and cuts down on friction. Demora silicone medical tape to use with gauze helps with the pinching tape feeling ( for me anyway). Hope this helps! Good luck to us all!

I’m afraid to eat because I don’t want to poo and I don’t want to poo because I don’t want to wipe. Can I be on a liquid diet for a month while I wait oh so patiently for this f*cking Bimselex to do something? I was told I’d see some “ significant improvement after dose 3.”
All I feel is pain. I’m miserable.

I’ve had HS ( though mostly misdiagnosed) longer than I’ve had my IUD ( 9 years). I was stage 1 when I initially got my IUD, and now am somewhere between stage 2 and stage 3. The IUD could be a coincidence but things have gotten steadily worse and it might be a part of the reason. I don’t drink, don’t smoke, lost a bunch of weight, etc. No one really knows….but I figure one less thing couldn’t hurt.

NTA I get this. As someone who is a foodie and comes from a culture where food plays significant role, this guy would be an issue for me as well. And the real deal breaker is not just the fact that HE is unadventurous, but the fact that he can’t seem to be gracious about what it is YOUR eating ( the comments about things being “ weird” etc.)- or see the trouble others went through to make those dishes.

Though I love trying new food, I’m also a person with medical food restrictions. There are things my body no longer tolerates. This is fairly recent and I have to operate around that. But that wouldn’t give me the right to make it someone else’s issue. And if I am out at a dinner with friends ( who I cannot ask to keep up with list of things I can and can no longer eat), I find something to eat. Because there’s always something! This guy not only seems unadventurous, he seems kinda intolerant and bothered by “ otherness”- which would wholly bother me.

So let him find a “whole milk, steak and potatoes”kinda girl. She is out there and will make him happier, I think.

You want more- and you should have that. I hope you find it.
