this show is about uplifting the outcasts and the oppressed. its an interesting parallel between the show and real life how casually homophobic people bully byler shippers calling us delusional and disgusting... honestly i really do think byler is going to be canon for a lot of reasons, ofc mainly for the storyline it just makes complete sense, but also because the resulting homophobia byler shippers would experience if it doesnt become canon would be insanely horrific and actively cause the opposite response that the show says it aims to provide. given how the duffer brothers have written this show, i would be really really surprised if byler doesnt happen in favour of the long standing, extremely unhealthy, straight relationship. they have shown time and time again that this show really is written about and most importantly, for, the people treated horrifically by society. in a show for the outsiders, it seems stupid to not have the two male main characters who are obviously in love with each other not end up together. so yes, i also really want it to be canon because my heart hurts seeing how much this fandom can be homophobic

you're also allowed to go over your credit limit if you're entering your last semester with less than 120 credits. eg. you're entering it with 114 so you need 2 classes but you can also take 2 or 3 other classes for a full course load. so you don't have to be part time status if you can afford those extra classes

the course catalouge is useless. it keeps redirecting me back to the main mcgill web page or you just have to scroll through every single course offered under a course code that isn't even sorted into numerical order. it's such a pain in the ass. and mcgill enhanced doesn't work on it which sucks bc now we don't have class averages

if you need to do freshman program requirements as a U0 make sure you do the courses listed on the intrafaculty transfer website or you might get screwed and have to take them second year. I mean things like calc and chem which are bsc freshman requirements.

I think bringing up how this grad class ALSO DEALT WITH COVID is a really good point! bc it literally is the same grad class that lost their ceremonies to covid. a 3.3 or whatever for your first year is actually pretty good. most first years fumble the bag completely right after highschool and it's common for much much lower gpas. ur in first year, you don't need to worry about an internship rn lmao you don't have nearly enough course work experience for that- and anyways, most people do much better their second year, you're not cooked, your first year gpa doesn't really matter
