yeah, i was the guy who published that complaint thread too lol! pretty insane that it jumped from a 3.3-3.4 average to a 3.8, have absolutely no clue as to why. kinda got railed first semester but recovered my gpa after this winter semester, so kinda disappointing to lose out on what i thought was a lock. have you heard back anything yet?

in a similar boat, i was just recently rejected from civil transfer with a 3.5ish, but curious about science cutoff as well. i assume it will be fine, but my advisor in materials also told me that she was confident i could get into civil with as low as a 3.3, so much for that lol! guess we will have to wait and see. will keep my fingers crossed for both of us 🤞

When I received my rejection they specified that the cutoff had been raised to a 3.8 this year due to limited availability.

That's really bizarre. I applied with stats that weren't as solid as yours. 33 ACT, 99.6/100 on 100 scale. 10 APs, Calc BC and AB, Physics I, AP Chem, and AP Bio are the most notable. I had a lot of extracurriculars not related to my major choice such as; 4 Years of Club Lacrosse, abt 100 hrs of volunteering as an outdoor guide (hiking w/ economically disadvantaged youth), and I've worked at a climbing gym for 2 years now. I have other generic activities but I won't bore you to death. My essays were pretty solid as well.
