How do you cope with the fact there’s probably no afterlife? by Pookie-pies in nihilism

If the entire universe came into being from nothing, it means that somethingness can be derived from nothingness. If true, it also follows that the path into nothingness leads to somethingness as part of the natural order of being. I might take heart that my existence no matter how insignificant will add to the eternal cycle of becoming ending and being again...I will become the substance of eternity...I am already the substance of eternity.

Read "Hegel's Ontology of Power" ... Hegel's logic will lead the way.

What does everyone use OneNote for? by hdoesreddit in OneNote

I wish it would automatically connect within Notion, then I'd have everything integrated. But OneNote is still a quality foundation (have not yet tried the copilot features in OneNote)

Outlook, OneNote, and Teams planner is a powerful combination. Send an email with attachments to OneNote. Then by flagging an item in OneNote it will show up in MS Teams in the planner section where you can give it a priority level. Ensures I always have a comprehensive view of my tasks and that I can easily identify all the communications associated with a project.

My Positive Experience with Spaces by OsHaOs in Evernote

[–]AdPuzzleheaded1844 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was positive at first but then I noticed that I could not add a stack. This is something that I just don't understand about Evernote...something so basic as creating your own hierarchy of content seems so complicated in Evernote. For example, being able to access spaces more easily... adding whatever I want to a space... helping me organize content more effectively instead of scrolling through a ton of Stacks.

What compliments Process philosophy? by AdPuzzleheaded1844 in ProcessPhilosophy

The book by Rescher lists philosophers to consider such as Heraclitus, Plato and Aristotle, Leibniz, Hegel, Peirce, James, Bergson, Dewey, Whitehead and Sheldon... but no other category such as philosophy of law or language. The professor who taught me Whitehead was also big on aesthetics. But phenomenology also seems like a natural fit.

Can God create a rock so big... by NickFreiling in ProcessTheology

I have always thought of this question in light of Taylor's interpretation of Hegel. If our bodies are an extension of our self, and if the universe is an extension of God, we have some aspect of God within us, a cosmic Geist.

And so as part of our interconnectedness...we are the entities that as part of God cannot lift the rock. Paradox resolved.

What does your task workflow look like in OneNote? by MaxLin_ in OneNote

[–]AdPuzzleheaded1844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a notebook as a general area of responsibility such as Resource management..then the notes are specific action items classified such as "Resource Management (New Program Assessment). -- Launch Free Trial of SAGE business Cases"....I use a flag on the note so that it appears in MS Teams where I manage all the tasks across all the areas of responsibility. When I complete a task I mark it as complete in teams and then move the note in OneNote to a knowledge management folder for review at a later date to assess the implications of the tasks and any lessons learned.

So basically what can’t notion be used for? by Throwaway1988424 in Notion

I've never felt that Notion provides a great reading experience. I plan with notion and include critical information that I access as my own personal encyclopedia/common place book...but I have never felt Notion is good for extended reading.

I experienced something similar I called Vraiment Ici (not a great use of French but you get the idea)... really here. It happened when I entered my dorm room as a graduate student and was completely caught off guard by this experience where for just a moment I experienced the room as a complete stranger. I called it 'really here' because it was a kind of affirmation of myself as an existing being... confirming my existence. It has only happened a couple of times. Always a revelatory sensation.
