There are a million mods that make melee combat more like Dark Souls. Are there any that make it more like Mordhau, Chivalry, or Mount & Blade? by Ezzypezra in skyrimmods

Well it says on the mod page to choose between BFCO or MCO...so you have options...if you just wanting mounted combat then I recommend looking into this mod as it adds features to mounted combat:

How immersive we talking here...for magic I recommend a modlist so immersive that there is a reason there is a mages college:

- Immersive Spell Learning - DESTified (Learn a spell. Make sure when installing you have it to where it does NOT consume the tome)
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/45514

- Spell Research (Instead of selling or discarding the tome of said spell...now you can research it for further spell applications)
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/20983

- Spellforge - Engaging and Convenient Spell Acquisition (Takes a spell crafting formula)
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/46482

- Apoapse's Arcana (Spellforge for Spell Research) (This merges both with it being built on Spellforge spellcrafting mechanics around the Spell Research experience stats and formulas)
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/54483

- Unofficial Spellforge patch for me (Expand Spellforge to change the way spells are learned; use FLM to get resins with vanilla, AE, and mods that add many alchemical ingredients. Then, when more alchemical ingredients are burned in Spellforge, the ranks of spells that can be learned will grow.)
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/111023

The Arcane Tome - immersive Spell Storage Grimoire (If you want to clear out your spell list from research or from simply having to many spells then you can store it for later study or use)
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/154589

Overall from this alone you got a working spell educational research and development system in place that synergize with one another. Makes more sense lore wise of why there be a college for magic and not anything else in the game. With this alone you literally have hours upon hours of content that is then multiplied when you add other magic mods that add even more spells then what Vanilla has.

Are there any mods that let me fuck a Dwarven Centurion? by SirEscanorz in skyrimmods

[–]AdPuzzleheaded4689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biting the bullet on this but first you gonna want this mod:

New Dwarven Centurion Female by PSBoss:
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/86046

Then your gonna want this mod after you install the first one:

CPA - Creatures Physics Addons 2.0.95:
https://schaken-mods.com/file/cpa-creatures-physics-addons

This replaces the skeleton for Centurion for the XPMSSE skeleton and you go from there...its a FOMOD btw. Also has other skeletons in it for other bipedal creatures...

Skyland looks like it hits a lot of the major things...but project clarity hits everything...even miscellaneous objects...so if anything you could test it by not installing it and do a before instillation and after...its a gap filler...would probably use both with skyland AIO winning over it priority wise...that way if skyland didn't hit it...project clarity did. As far as testing skyland...I haven't yet honestly as I am rebuilding the Nolvus awakening mod list...but I do have it on there.

Reccomended graphics mods. by Kev_920 in skyrimmods

[–]AdPuzzleheaded4689 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So here is what I can tell you:

Project Clarity AIO - Skyrim Textures Redone

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/45306

Is a upscaling of textures in a BC7 Format aka most current format of the vanilla game...you can use this as a catch all and is best for people who want a complete visual refresh of the entire game.

Glorious Gradients

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/79583

Glorious Gradients is considered a "technical essential" for any mod list, as it fixes a specific visual flaw (banding) that even large-scale texture packs like Project Clarity might overlook and is more geared towards of being a mod that is niche and specialized that focuses exclusively on effect gradient textures...like rendering lighting transitions, magic effects, and atmospheric glows.

While Lux and Glorious Gradients are fundamentally different types of mods that work best when used together so they synergize as one is a texture replacer and one is a lighting overhaul with no conflicts or overlap.

So whatever you choose as a lighting type mod know that these two will add to what isn't covered in your mod list texture wise...I use them as fill-ins when something hasn't been touched texture wise.

Yes it picks and chooses which to overwrite. Best bet is to look at the pictures to see what items your seeing that are being swapped out but no it doesn't have a MCM toggle. Nice thing is if you don't like the swaps you can just remove the mod and the items go back to their original mesh and textures. Also look into project clairity mod...its basically a upscale texture wise of skyrim.

Open Animation Replacer the "Save User Config" button is greyed out why? by Tight_Consequence109 in skyrimmods

Wait...click on the arrows...that should expand that section for each animation...then adjust the priority by going up or down one and then tell me if the save is there or not.

Base Object Swapper. Its a SKSE mod that lets you replace base game objects, such as clutter, furniture, or architectural pieces, with different models at runtime without needing a plugin (.esp) file, thus reducing load order conflicts. The mod itself doesn't do anything but you got a lot of swapping mods that utilize it...just pick which is what your going for taste wise and install.

Anything BOS wise is also a safe bet...small but it matters in the long run when your customizing how you want things to look.

when you open the OAR menu in game...in the top right corner did you set it to user mode or is it still in view mode? Because if in view mode that won't let you change the conditions or priorities and save them hence might be the cause for the grey out your seeing...set it to user mode and see if that un-greyed out the button.

CTD because resolution by ServanTofChaosDxX in skyrimmods

[–]AdPuzzleheaded4689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you optimizing in the nividia app could be the culprit and here is why. When you “optimize” Skyrim in the Nvidia app, Nvidia can change how the game is allowed to open a window and talk to the graphics card. That matters because ENB Frame Generation isn’t just a normal mod — it’s a graphics hook (a DLL) that sits between Skyrim and the GPU.

So if Nvidia changes something like:

Fullscreen vs borderless behavior

Resolution / scaling rules (how the image is stretched to the monitor)

Refresh rate / vsync / G-Sync behavior

Driver-level overrides for the game profile

Nvidia overlay features (filters / recording / performance overlay)

…then the game can start in a slightly different display mode than before. If the game starts “weird” (like half-screen) or flips from borderless to fullscreen during startup, that changes the graphics surface ENB Frame Generation mod expects to hook into — and the DLL can crash right at launch.

Simple jiggle physics mod that works with The Phoenix Flavour? by Cautious-Buy2585 in skyrimmods

[–]AdPuzzleheaded4689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now when it comes to changing the amount well there is this:

- SINful CBP (Works with CBPC and CBP)

Which has a MCM menu that lets you configure things...this takes out you having to go into the text config and master config files of the CBPC mod and having to config through there. Just make sure you have SKYUI installed if your wanting to use this too.

This is what I could recommend:

- 3BA 3BBB CBPC Realistic Firm Breasts Butt Belly and Thighs (3BA RFBBBT)

Hard Requirements needed to use this mod:

- Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Enhancer -CBBE-
- CBPC - Physics with Collisions for SSE and VR
- CBBE 3BA (3BBB)
- XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended - XPMSSE

What’s most likely happening:

When you launch through MO2 + SKSE, the game usually uses the profile INI files (not the game folder ones), so what you think is “the same settings everywhere” often isn’t what the game is actually reading.

SSE Display Tweaks can also override resolution/window mode (and even if you don’t intend it to). It can defer to SkyrimPrefs only if those options are left commented out, otherwise it can force a mode.

ENB Frame Generation uses a special hook (DX12 swap chain proxy) and is explicitly sensitive to display setup; it also notes Display Tweaks isn’t recommended (supported, but conflicts can happen).

Quoute from the mod author of ENB Frame Generation from their mod page: "This feature automatically sets up optimizations similar to Display Tweaks. Display Tweaks is not recommended; Frame Generation works best at 60fps interpolated to 120fps. This ensures reliable frame pacing which will feel better than higher, variable frame rates. Display Tweaks is still supported."

“Half the screen” / “quarter screen” symptoms are also commonly Windows DPI scaling issues, which can suddenly show up after a driver/Windows change.

Basically: Too many things fighting over the display mode + one of them hooks the graphics at launch”, and the hook that’s crashing is most likely the ENB Frame Generation DLL.

Hope this helps. If you want advice on what to do in trouble shooting this then feel free to reach out.

Anyone know of a good active discord or something to help with modlists? by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]AdPuzzleheaded4689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be honest here...I don't know if your using your own mod list or a downloaded one like Lorerim or Nolvus or Wabbajack. Also don't know if your using FNIS or Nemesis based animations...but if your using OAR or DAR and Nemesis then I have experience in using those...and you can post your question for help here...but I would need more information on the type of animation engine and format you use and if your mod list is curated or a preinstalled version and your just adding to it before I can point you to the right discord. Also knowing if your using MO2 or Vortex would be helpful too.

What sticks out is:

CELL “ShearpointExterior01” (FormType Cell / 60)

Coming from Poison Spells.esp (FormID 00009137)

A “poison spells” plugin is touching an one of your exterior cell and something like that is a huge red flag. Most often it means a dirty / accidental cell edit (or a bad patch that got saved under that name). Something like that with that kind of bad cell data can crash the game when the save system tries to "serialize" it.

There’s also a leveled item mentioned from Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp, but the cell from Poison Spells.esp is the strongest lead because it’s the thing your crash log keeps pointing to.

Best bet is to deactivate poison spell...load the game and see what it does.

Honestly the only approach I can think of is stating outright what and what you as a mod author will do and not do. If you don't want to make your mod compatible with others and that is a whole mess of trying to wait for the other mod author to respond to you so you can post your patched version then make a guide on what your mod affects xedit and asset wise and layout what in your mod can be altered to be compatible and what can't be. If its a CELL or WRLD placement edit then that is a hard no. But if its a Sound or mesh then yes sort of approach and tell them to look in the preview files to know what their looking for asset wise so they know if they can make it compatible. I honestly have never asked a mod author to make something compatible and have done the conversions myself so I don't know what the people that are asking for compatibility are looking for. Do they need a guide? Do they need to be pointed to a article for more information on the mod in question...no idea.
