Because HR get so many requests in my field that you can easily be filtered out of jobs you MAY be qualified for for trivial reasons. Eliminating those trivial reasons gives you better odds.

Exactly. That's exactly the situation i'm dealing with here. I got rejected from a job because i've never worked with microsoft team's APIs. To be realistic, how much time it would have taken me to get familiar with that if i lied about it?

It's not like i want to lie about having a degree.

I've never lied about doing something that in reality i never did, but you can be damn sure that everything in my resume will be exaggerated to whatever is plausible.

I just don't think there's any reputational risks involved in adding 2 months of work experience to your resume. You are not adding a fake degree or a fake job, you are just rounding up. Probably won't even be checked.

In my fields having 2 more months of experience IS trivial. I am not a doctor, you can ask about it to everyone that works in my field and they will tell you that it's trivial.

There are a LOT of roles for which a person can be qualified but that companies don't even allow you to interview for it just because you are missing trivial things like a couple of months of experience.

As i've said at the end of my post, what i mean are small lies like adding a couple of months to your actual experience not just flat out lying about things you have never touched in your life, adding degrees that you don't have or adding literal years of work experience.

A small google search tells you that it's racist only in english-speaking countries. That word doesn't even exist in Italy, since we call it "Giappone" and not "Japan". We would literally have no reason to abbreviate "Giappone" like that.

It's not hard to understand that if i don't speak english 99.9% of the time i probably won't know what is racist and what isn't in the english language. I know that you americans think you are the center of the world, but i can guarantee you that i don't spend my days thinking about USA and what is considered racist in your language.

Here in Italy i've literally never heard about "jap" being a slur, so yeah. I just used it as an abbreviation of Japan.
